Ski bunnies Nancy and Jason owe their marriage to the mountains: they met when both moved to Alta, Utah, to become ski instructors. It's only fitting, then, that he proposed after a long day of backcountry skiing — and that, a year later, they got hitched at the base of a mountain. The two followed their scenic "I dos" with a romantic, wildflower-filled bash at Idaho's Linn Canyon Ranch. Nancy paired her strapless lace Monique Lhuillier gown with crystal drop earrings, gold lace ballet flats, and a vibrant bouquet of seasonal, locally grown flowers. The guys followed suit with boutonnieres of wildflowers, set on silver sage.
Nancy skipped the usual limo or vintage car for an extra-unique ride to her ceremony: a horse and wagon! At their outdoor celebration, Nancy's father walked her down the aisle through an aspen grove while a string quartet played.
"We fell in love with Linn Canyon Ranch the moment we saw it!" Nancy says. The sweeping, open space was perfect for their simple outdoor ceremony and reception. The natural setting needed no decoration, but natural arrangements of seasonal blooms in soft greens, whites blues and purples created an extra-romantic mood (and a lively folk band helped!). Their guest book was a vintage wildflower catalog—the perfect touch!
Nancy and Jason's wedding menu featured local and seasonal foods like garden-fresh tomatoes, locally made breads and cheeses, beef and vegetables. For dessert, guests dug into vanilla and strawberry cake, garnished with organic strawberries.

After their picture-perfect wedding, Nancy and Jason flew off to France, Italy and Belgium for a honeymoon that was just as beautiful. Nancy's advice to future brides? "Stay as organized as possible beforehand, so you can relax the week of your wedding—and, especially, on your wedding day!"
