Kelly Clarkson's running all her engines on high octane right now — her latest album, Piece by Piece, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, she has an adorable 10-month-old daughter, and her relationship with her husband Brandon Blackstock seems to be stronger than ever. And it sounds like the "Heartbeat Song" singer couldn't be any happier about it!
"I always swore ours would not be a relationship where we have to schedule sex," she told Redbook about her marriage in an interview in its latest issue. "That is never going to happen. We put each other first. I call it the oxygen-mask mentality — take care of yourself first!"

That being said, she was quick to clarify that she's not dependent on Blackstock for her happiness. "Goodness, no!" she said when asked if her husband of nearly two years is her other half. "Brandon is not my other half. He's a whole and I'm a whole. I've never believed in someone taking care of me, and that's probably because I grew up poor and without a lot of family stability."
Miss Independent indeed! The American Idol winner also touched on recent criticism of her post-baby body, which showed just how well-adjusted she is. "There are just some people who are born skinny and with a great metabolism — that is not me. I wish I had a better metabolism," she said.
"But someone else probably wishes they could walk into a room and make friends with everyone like I can," she added. "You always want what someone else has."
