The Trick to Getting the Wedding Flowers of Your Dreams

$

0

It's important to clearly communicate your vision to your florist to make sure you get the wedding flowers you've always wanted. And while Pinterest boards and magazine tear sheets will certainly help convey the look and feel you're going for, it's also crucial to use the right words and language to ensure everyone is on the same page. To help, we've put together a guide to help you communicate with your florist to get exactly what you need.

The Look #1: Rustic (above)
When you describe the look you want as "rustic," most florists think of the outdoors, weathered or wood vessels, and arrangements with a hand-picked feel. Blooms like sunflowers, daisies, and zinnias placed in old crockery or worn crates come to mind. To skew away from the casual, country connotations this word often creates, have your venue and, most important, the formality of your celebration in mind.

What to say: "The wedding will be held in the spring in an old barn — I want the flowers to feel relaxed and unfussy."

The Look #2: Classic
The word "classic" will usually evoke a ball-shaped bouquet featuring predominantly one type of flower — perfect for some celebrations, but not all. To make sure your bouquet fits your event, have your florist match it to the style of your wedding gown and location.

What to say: "The reception will be at a country club and I'll be wearing a strapless, A-line gown with a lace bodice."

The Look #3: Romantic
The word "romantic" paints a variety of pictures for florists. Some think of peonies, ranunculuses, and garden roses in terra-cotta pots, while others imagine cascading red roses in silver urns. Because romance means something different to everyone, you'll need to give plenty of details — including feel, location, formality, and season — when communicating your version.

What to say: "It will be an elegant, semiformal springtime reception at a vineyard, with neutral table linens, gold-rimmed china, and cross-back chairs."

The Look #4: Chic
Asymmetrical arrangements of cymbidium orchids, calla lilies, and French tulips come to florists' minds when the word "chic" is uttered, as do a generally modern aesthetic and simple, sleek arrangements in clear acrylic containers. When meeting with florists, focus on the visual details of your wedding, such as your location's architecture, your wedding colors, or your gown's design.

What to say: "A daytime reception at a modern art museum with clean lines and white walls, with lots of bright, unexpected pops of color."

15 New Things We Learned About Lauren Conrad's Wedding

$

Up until this point, all we knew about Lauren Conrad's wedding was that it was held in Santa Ynez, California on September 13, and that she wore a Badgley Mischka dress. Thanks to her wedding album, which Us Weekly published, though, we now know a lot more. Here, a few of our favorite findings about the former reality star's big day.

She changed her dress design at the last minute.
The bead-embellished Badgley Mischka stunner initially had long sleeves, but L.C. doubted them during her fittings. "I felt like I couldn't pull them off," she told Us Weekly, adding her last minute decision shocked her tailor. "I was like, 'Sir, if you don't cut them off, I'm going to use my kitchen scissors and cut them.'"

Her train was 10 feet long!
"I did a photo shoot, and there was a dress with a giant train," Conrad explained of her gown's dramatic backside. "So I emailed [the designers], 'How do you feel about, like, a 10-foot train?"

The bride's veil was a last-minute decision.
Conrad wasn't sure of the headpiece, but once her hairdresser, Kristin Ess, placed it on her head, the lifestyle guru reportedly said "I'm ready to get married!"

Conrad's (and Tell's!) wedding ring matches her engagement ring.
The newlyweds opted for rose-gold wedding rings from XIV Karats, and Conrad chose a light dusting of bling, with a pavé-dusted band.

The wedding gift Tell gave Conrad was really sweet.
Not only was it an apple locket — which matched the wedding's theme — inside the necklace was a torn piece of the menu from their first date. Conrad's gift to tell wasn't too shabby either: a 1960s Omega Seamaster watch.

The bouquets were as romantic as we expected them to be.
Gilly Flowers & Events gathered white, blush, and lush green blooms of dahlias, peonies, and garden roses.

The Paper Crown designer had 10 bridesmaids, including Laguna Beach and Hills co-star Lo Bosworth.
Each 'maid donned a blush chiffon dress of their choosing. "We wanted different dresses for certain people," Conrad said of her girls' gowns. "We took into account people's shapes and common wedding colors."

For their non-denominational ceremony, Conrad and Tell exchanged original vows.
And Conrad's took her months. "I kept a folder in my phone, and whenever I thought of something, I'd add it," she told Us.

The Tell's invitation suite was designed by Rifle Paper Co.
"I'm a big fan!" Conrad said of her stationer. So much so, that she announced a collaboration with them right after her wedding.

There were two signature cocktails at this celebration: One, was Ketel Vodka-spiked lemonade. The other, a brandy and apple cider combo.

Conrad chose her apple theme based on a cute coincidence.
After finding a brass apple at the flea market, Conrad quickly realized Tell has the same name as the famous Swiss who shot an arrow into an apple on top of a boy's head.

She baked one of the desserts, which required hundreds of apples.
Conrad enlisted the help of her baker friend Hannah Skvarla, and the two cored and sliced the 300 apples to make 50 apple pies. "I was like, 'I didn't think this through!'" Conrad said, making fun . "It was a lot, but I liked the idea of a home-baked dessert."

For the cake, they kept it simple.
The couple chose a two-tier vanilla-iced chocolate cake from A Sweet Savory bakery.

The rest of the menu, though, sounds pretty decadent too.
Guests had a choice of black striped bass, Tuscan roasted chicken, and beef tenderloin to nosh on. For the after party, mini grilled cheese sandwiches and bite-sized chicken and waffles were passed around for the guests to munch on.

The music choices were on point.
Conrad walked down the aisle to The Beatles' "In My Life" while their first dance was to Once's version of "You're My Best Friend." The musical highpoint, though, was when Tell, the former front-man of Something Corporate, hopped on stage and sang Frankie Valli's "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" to Conrad.

Overall, it sounds like one amazing bash!

Two Former High School Rivals Wed at an Elegant Wedding in Florida

Kristen Quintana and Rodrigo Rincon's story started in high school in El Paso, TX. "We went to rival schools," she says, "and met briefly at a party after our senior year." But the couple didn't see each other again for years, since Kristen headed to Miami for college and then stayed for a few years after she graduated. But in 2011, she moved back to El Paso, and she and Rodrigo bumped into each other again. "We've been together ever since," Kristen says.

Over Memorial Day Weekend in 2013, Rodrigo surprised Kristen with an overnight trip to the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne. After a delicious brunch, he proposed with ocean views in the background. The pair spent the next 11 months planning their May 3rd, 2014 wedding in Coconut Grove, Florida, with Paper Rock Sisters Inc. doing the planning and coordination, and BlueSpark Photography behind the camera.

Kristen kept her bridal look timeless, choosing an A-line gown with a lace neckline from Rosa Clará. "I knew I wanted lace and didn't want straps," says Kristen. "The handmade lace on the neckline was gorgeous!" She paired her dress with ivory satin Giuseppe Zanotti pumps and a chapel-length veil. Her ivory headpiece was borrowed from her matron of honor, who'd worn it at her own wedding (as did the MOH's mother!).

Rodrigo wore a classic tuxedo with a vest, while his groomsmen wore suspenders.

The bride carried a lush bouquet of peonies and garden roses, all in white and blush. The bridesmaids, in coral cowl-neck gowns, carried all-white bouquets of tulips and hydrangeas.

Kristen's brother walked her down the aisle at the ceremony. "My father passed away six years ago, so my brother gave me away. I had my dad's wedding ring pinned inside my dress as a memento," says the bride.

The reception took place under a clear-topped tent hung with chandeliers. Chairs and vases added a touch of gold to the white tables, while arrangements of hydrangeas, tulips, and stock flowers were a lush finishing detail.

The four-tiered wedding cake featured layers of rum and key lime cakes, frosted with buttercream and piped with lace-inspired details. The topper was a handmade sugar peony to match the bride's bouquet.

An amazing DJ had guests on the dance floor all night. As the party wrapped up, Kristen and Rodrigo headed outside for their bubble send-off. "We absolutely loved it," she says, "but once we got to the parking lot, we realized we'd never arranged transportation back to the hotel!" Thankfully a groomsman was able to sneak the couple back inside, then they loaded into an SUV with their friends for their real getaway.

The couple honeymooned in Paris and Nice, France, and planning a great trip is one of Kristen's top tips. "We really appreciated having a vacation, and some alone time together!"

The Reason Why Ashley Tisdale Married Christopher French on a Monday

Ashley Tisdale's wedding was nothing short of gorgeous. From the Monique Lhuillier gown (with a removable tulle overskirt!), to the mismatched bridesmaid dresses, delicate baby's breath flower crown, and the rustic wood beams and chairs, everything about her big day was picture perfect.

One thing, though, seemed slightly odd: The day of the week she chose to get married. Monday, after all, isn't the most popular wedding day. The former High School Musical star shed light on the significance behind the unconventional date this morning on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS FM radio show.

"It definitely was for two reasons," Tisdale said of her Monday nuptials to Annie Automatic band member Christopher French. "The 8th was our anniversary so I wanted to land on an 8th, and [thankfully] it landed on a Monday in September."

The second reason was more sneaky than sweet. "Also, because I figured out like, 'Oh, I don't think anybody would figure this one out,' and that was to protect the privacy of it," she said.

She was right! Like many celebs before her, Tisdale pulled off the coveted surprise wedding. One thing that wasn't a surprise, though, was how this couple's love grew into something really special.

"I knew him for a long time and we had always had a connection," Tisdale told People following her wedding. "We were friends first. As we became better friends, I definitely knew it was something completely different and special."

"When you know, you know!" she said of her love for French. "It just happens. It's magical."

It's no secret that social media has changed the wedding world for good. Between rules for posting during the ceremony, to the etiquette of sharing your engagement news on Facebook, and the array of creative hashtags now considered a wedding-day necessity, brides-to-be and their close guests are able to share the exciting news, step-by-step, for the world to see. Thanks to Influenster, a community of social media mavens centered around product and trend discovery, we surveyed 3,145 engaged women, bridal party members, and newlyweds, to find out how many people are plugged in from proposal to "I do."

First, let's talk about the power of Pinterest! Obviously, brides-to-be use the photo-driven platform for all-things wedding-related, but they're using it to keep track of celebrity nuptials, too. The famous faces who engaged girls look to most for big-day fashion inspiration? Reality stars Kim Kardashian and Lauren Conrad. (Sorry, Angie.)

See more: Are Your Wedding Updates Annoying People?

Another surprising stat? Only 30 percent of brides-to-be have a pre-determined wedding hashtag, despite the fact that 92 percent of guests would agree to use it if requested. Also brides love updating their relationship status in real time: 64 percent of brides-to-be post their engagement ring immediately, while 25 percent are looking to change their status from "engaged" to "married" at the altar!

As for things we expected from the findings, 95 percent of future Mrs. will share their planning process across social media (even though majority will still like to keep their wedding dress to themselves). Most brides also end up downloading wedding planning apps and find them to be helpful.

Thinking About Sending Out Wedding Announcements? Here's What You Should Know

After you say "I do," but before you jet off of on your honeymoon, you might want to send out wedding announcements. Different from engagement announcements, these are a nice way to include everyone who wasn't invited or couldn't go to your wedding. Sharing the happy news that you're married after the wedding in the form of a printed or handwritten announcement is never obligatory, but it is a nice idea. The year is always included as part of the date on an announcement; there are some other common customs involved should you choose to follow this wedding tradition. Here, a few answers to common questions about post-wedding announcements!

Who receives wedding announcements?
Printed or handwritten ones sent through the mail can serve a useful purpose. These are generally sent to those friends and family who were left off the guest list because the celebration was too small to accommodate them or to acquaintances or business associates who, while not particularly close to the family, might still wish to hear the news of the marriage.

When are announcements mailed out?
Ideally, they're sent the day after the wedding, but may be mailed up to several months later.

What is the traditional wording for announcements?
They are traditionally sent in the name of the bride's parents, with wording as follows:

Mr. and Mrs. James Welch
have the honor of
announcing the marriage of their daughter
Amy Sue
to
Mr. Jonathan Scott Jamison
Saturday, the twelfth of June
two thousand and nine
Mansfield, Pennsylvania

"Wanted to share some exciting news... We have had the most special year and its JUST become even more beautiful. We are happy to announce that we are expecting our first child! While we can't share much, we can say that thanks to a surrogate and the support of those we love we will officially be a family in the spring of 2015! — Nate Berkus & Jeremiah Brent," the message stated.

The two designers chose a color palette of black, white, cream, and gold, with metallic pops thanks to geodes and minerals.

According to E! News, the prospect of welcoming a child into their world wasn't unfamiliar to Berkus and Brent. "One thing at a time, but Nate will be the best dad," Brent said earlier this year. "I want a soccer team. Unfortunately, it's not as easy for us like conventional couples as you can imagine. We both want kids. I would have five if I could, but we will probably have two."

One thing is for sure: Baby Berkus-Brent will surely have one very chic nursery! Congratulations to this adorable growing bunch!

5 Ways to Deal with a Jealous Sibling on Your Wedding Day

Bride with Jealous Sister and Bridesmaid

It's the stuff movies are made of: happy bride and groom, excited parents and friends, and then there's the jealous, nasty, bitter, unmarried sister of the bride who misbehaves and tries to ruin her sister's big day. Isn't it just awful?

While it may not be as dramatic as rom-com, a sibling wedding rivalry can happen in real life. Watching your sister get married (especially if the bride is younger and you're single) can be difficult.

This unattractive trait is not limited to the bride's family — sometimes the groom's siblings can be just as unpleasant. The question of how well (or not) it all turns out lies in how bride handles it from the beginning:

1. If your sister (or his) is older, single or just having a rough time finding a nice guy, keep that in mind if you plan your wedding. It's hard to watch the ones you're close to find a lifetime happiness when you're not in that same space. Be sensitive to the fact that she might not be as enthusiastic a participant in your wedding party as you would like.

2. Recently separated or divorced siblings can also be less than thrilled about your good news, too. They don't have a happy opinion of marriage at the moment, and it's probably hard to watch you tie the knot. Try to tune out the negativity.

See More: Making Your Own Peace: How to Handle Loved Ones Who Just Can't Be Excited for Your Wedding

3. Do not invite your sibling's ex to your wedding, even if you're still good friends with him. Unless your sister wants her exes (there may be more than one) there, you need to respect her feelings. An ex is no longer a part of your immediate family and including them is a slap in the face to your sibling.

4. Find a happy way to involve your sister. If you want her in your wedding party, take her out for a special "alone night" and tell her how important it is to you even though you know she's not really "feeling it." Whatever her reasons may be, remember it's a happy thing for you, not her. Don't let it ruin your day, but don't rub it in her face either.

5. A sibling you're not close to (from your side or his), doesn't belong in the wedding party and will probably feel awkward despite your best intentions including them. Unless you're having all siblings from both sides, skip it. If it becomes an issue, re-evaluate it at that time.

Signs You've Found "The One" Wedding Dress Shopping Tips

Photo: Abby Jiu

Finding your perfect wedding dress can be nearly as difficult as finding the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. From ball gowns to bias-cut numbers the options are endless. To help you narrow down the search, we rounded up 10 signs that you may have finally found the one.

1. You start using superlatives.
If you're suddenly inspired to describe your gown as "the most beautiful dress in the world", "the most stunning gown I've ever laid eyes on," or simply "the best dress," you've found your (other) soul mate.

2. You can suddenly picture walking down the aisle towards your future hubby.
Picturing your groom's awestruck reaction to your red carpet-worthy gown as you glide down the aisle? The hunt is over.

3. You begin to wonder where else you could possibly wear the gown.
Sporting your gown on a trip to the supermarket is totally normal, right?

4. All other clothing suddenly pales in comparison to it.
Even that uber-flattering vintage Chanel shift you found on sale is looking drab compared to the stunner you're rocking on now.

5. Someone in your group is tearing up, even if it's not you.
You may not be the type for overt displays of emotion, but chances are if your mother, sister, or best friend is sniffling, you've found your ideal match.

6. You're convinced your body has never looked better.
Whether it is a cinched mermaid dress that emphasizes your curves or a slim silk sheath that complements your athletic frame, Gisele has nothing on you when you're clad in this stunner.

7. Your gown may not be pink, but your face has taken on a rosy glow.
Remember your first date with your guy, and how you blushed furiously when compliments were involved? If your dress evokes the same blushing reaction, it may be your sartorial match made in heaven.

8. No one else's opinion matters.
Your perfect dress may turn you into a bit of a bridezilla, because if you adore it, your entourage better love it too.

9. The prospect of not wearing the dress on your big day is too much to bear.
Sure, the groom is important, but if you can't wear this gown? The wedding is officially off.

10. You feel like you're falling in love all over again.
If you're experiencing a coup de coeur like the one you felt when first falling for your groom, it's time to say yes to your dress.

If it feels like Mila Kunis has been pregnant for a really long time to outsiders, then she and Ashton Kutcher really must be anxious for their baby to arrive! Kutcher's recent social media activity indicates that he is, in fact, one excited father-to-be.

Yesterday, the Two and a Half Men star tweeted the funny photo seen below, which was taken on the set of his hit CBS show. Though he and Kunis, his fiancée of seven months, have been relatively low-key about discussing her pregnancy, the caption shows that he's more than ready to transition into fatherhood.

Luckily, his art is imitating life. In the last season of Two and a Half Men, Kutcher's character will continue the gay adoption storyline that he started last season. With all of those adorable stuffed animals and slides on the set, maybe he'll get to take home some special souvenirs for his baby girl!

Though there's no telling how Kutcher and Kunis decorated their actual nursery, one thing's for sure — they'll be more than prepared to be parents when the big day comes.

"Ashton is an efficiency expert," a source told Us Weekly. "His morning routine and his business practices are completely mechanical. He's planned his route to the hospital and the baby bag is packed and ready at this point."

What's more is that this baby is just the start of the big brood they're planning for! "They both want to start on their next kid shortly after they tie the knot [next summer]," a source recently told Radar Online. "They are soul mates and know that they will be together forever."

Want to Have a Man of Honor? Here's How to Pull Off a Co-Ed Bridal Party

Wedding Party in Tuxedos and Navy Dresses

When it comes to weddings, many old rules no longer apply. Bridesmaids don mismatched attire. Couples forgo the garter toss. And if you want your male best friend to stand with your 'maids, you can do that, too. "Couples believe that splitting up their family and best friends based strictly on gender is a bit antiquated, and not necessarily a tradition they wish to continue," explains Bellwether Events owner Janice Carnevale, who says about 15 percent of her clients mix their bridal parties between men and women. "A bride might prefer her brother by her side, not across the aisle. And likewise, that groom might want his female cousin who he basically grew up standing at the altar with him."

If you'd like to mix-and-match your own bridal party, here are some tips on how to do it:

Attire: Just because they're standing on the opposite side of the aisle from their same sex doesn't mean you have to dress your male 'maids any differently. "If a man is standing on the bride's side, he generally is wearing the same suit or tux as the men standing on the groom's side," Carnevale says. Same goes for any girls mixed among the groomsmen — give these women the same dress or color as your bridesmaids. And if you'd like your opposite sex party members to stand out, consider asking your male friend to don a different boutonniere or ask your female friend to carry a slightly different bouquet or wear a corsage.

See More: Having a "Man of Honor" or a "Groomslady"? Here's What to Do

The pre-wedding parties: "If you are worried about a man being a part of planning the shower, don't be," says Carnevale. "He can decide for himself if he wants to participate in this typically all-female event. It doesn't have to be weird if you don't make it weird." Female friends of the groom can also decide if they'd like to attend the bachelor party, or hang with the other women at your bachelorette event. Or, consider throwing a co-ed bachelorette party!

Titles: When it comes to what to call your opposite sex bridal party members in your programs — or when people ask — you can get creative. Consider naming a woman standing on the groom's side a "groomslady." A man on the bride's side could be given the moniker "bridesman." "You can also do away with gender-oriented labels and simply call everyone in the wedding party an attendant," suggests Carnevale.

You've Got to See This "Deerly Beloved" Wedding Photo

From Jeff Goldbum's Jurassic Park recreation and Tom Hardy as Bane in the background of one couple's portraits to Zach Braff's extra cheesy smile behind kissing newlyweds as he crossed a street in NYC, there's no shortage of amazing wedding photobombs. But we have yet to see a large group of deer — we're talking around 10 — emerge from the depth of a wooded area at the right moment to set a romantic, enchanted scene for one very lucky couple.

At the Stockton, NJ wedding of Erick and Lauren Fix this past Saturday, though, that was exactly the case. It's clear to see from the photo, above, that this is one special shot. It feels like it came straight from a movie or fairytale. And all because the couple's wedding photographer, Ian Christmann, knew just exactly how to seize the moment.

See more: Adorable Ways to Include Your Pet in Your Wedding

"During dinner, during sunset, this whole herd of deer came up out of the woods," Christmann told ABC News. "I convinced the bride and groom in the middle of dinner to come with me."

The groom explained that they held the wedding on a family friend's farm, which happens to host about 40 wild deer. During their reception's dinner, all of the deer emerged from the woods to celebrate with them (well, probably to eat their dinner too).

"The reason we hired Ian is because we're both artists and we wanted someone who really created artistic photos and not just documented the day," the groom Eric told ABC News from his mini-moon in Martha's Vineyard.

"We think they're great," he said of the photos, aptly titled "Deerly Beloved" by Christmann.

A Complete Wedding Day Survival Guide for Introverts

Overwhelmed by large crowds? Hate being the center of attention? Need alone time to reenergize? Then you might be an introvert! And as excited as you are for your wedding, chances are, you're also dreading the whole all eyes on you all night, small talk, go-go-go aspect of it. Whether you're planning a big day or a small one though, there are certain things you can do to help minimize anxiety and get rid of some of those pre-wedding jitters.

Face the front.
For brides (and grooms) with stage fright, renowned wedding officiant Reverend Clint Hufft suggests couples not face directly at each other during the ceremony but angle their bodies a bit toward the front. "The goal is to allow the guests to observe and feel connected to the couple but give the couple a 'safe place' to focus completely on each other and the moment."

Keep it small.
Because let's be real, the less small talk you have to do the better, right? If you can swing it and your fiancé is also on board, a smaller wedding that really only includes your nearest and dearest family and friends is definitely the way to go, advises Lauren Randolph, founder of My Hotel Wedding. "This way, you aren't bombarded by people you barely know."

Do a first look.
If you're introverted, the last thing you want is the added stress and pressure of seeing your soon to be hubby for the first time in front of a big crowd, points out Randolph. "Work with your wedding planner and photographer to orchestrate a more intimate and private first look instead. It really takes away the nerves for the rest of the day, believe it or not."

Schedule in some alone time.
Weddings are pretty hectic, and unfortunately for introverts, there's not a lot of down time involved. That's why Connecticut wedding and social event planner Bill Parkinson recommends taking some breaks throughout the day to recharge and prepare yourself for all the attention you're bound to get.

Don't do a solo first dance.
No need to take center stage if the mere thought of it makes you uncomfortable. Instead, opt to do a special dance that allows all married couples to join you out on the dance floor, offers Tiffany Gillespie, event coordinator and owner of To the "T" Events & Catering. You can have the DJ bring everyone else out immediately or after a minute or so of the two of you just dancing by yourselves.

Skip the sweetheart table.
And other traditions that shine a spotlight on you like the bouquet toss, walk down the aisle or a flashy reception entrance! There are so many ways to get creative while still keeping your special day just as special. For example, "You can sit at a guest table filled with a small group of your favorite people, the guests and wedding party members you feel the most comfortable with," says wedding planner Liz Coopersmith of Silver Charm Events.

Planning the perfect wedding reception that you and your guests will love takes tons of effort. While you can carefully craft the tastiest menu and painstakingly pick the perfect playlist, making sure the party lasts all evening long requires activities beyond eating, drinking, and dancing. Providing entertaining and interactive activities for your guests to enjoy will ensure that friends and family are happily involved throughout the reception.

Trust us, wedding games don't have to be tacky or awkward. From nostalgic childhood favorites to inventive ones, we found six games even the most mature adults will love to play.

Jenga (above): Who doesn't love the classic block-stacking game Jenga? This bride and groom upgraded from the traditional tabletop version and created a life-size set of blocks that friends and family could build and destroy.

Connect Four: An oversized version of this classic game is sure to garner attention from adults and kids, alike. This couple offered a series of lawn games, including ring toss and other carnival-inspired activities.

Corn Hole: Corn hole is the perfect lawn-game offering for couples that want to make extra activities feel like a cohesive part of your décor. This creative couple used wood grain paint with lace-inspired details for a look that matched their rustic style. To complete the game, they included custom beanbags, painted with a silhouette of Texas to showcase their hometown roots.

Board Games: Not all guests want to spend the night on the dance floor. Offering a selection of quick, multi-player board games (read: not Monopoly) will entertain your more introverted guests throughout the evening.

Oversize Word Search: Transform a classic chalkboard into a creative word search that your guests can try their hand at all evening long. The trick is to write the letters in permanent paint and provide chalk only for circling words. Get creative and include details about you and your groom for guests to find.

Wedding Reception Games Wheel of Activities

Wheel of Fun: To encourage major guest interaction, consider creating a custom wheel of activities that can be spun throughout the reception. This creative option includes details like "Pick a couple to kiss," "Show Us Your Best Dance Moves," and "Bride and Groom Kiss."

Most popular honeymoon destinations Facebook

Las Vegas may have a reputation for bachelor parties and quickie weddings, but it's also a major destination for some post-wedding bliss. According to Facebook, the Sin City is the most popular place for newlyweds to spend their honeymoon in 2014.

Facebook made the fascinating discovery by tracking couples who both posted a marriage event in 2014 and checked into a location within two weeks of their self-identified marriage date. At-home honeymoons were excluded, as check-ins within 20 miles of the couples' home location weren't counted.

Vegas garnered the greatest share of check-ins by honeymooners overall, but interestingly, U.S. couples were much less likely to check in there than non U.S. Couples.

Not only did the social networking site narrow in on this wildly-popular vacation location, it also examined other hotspots, as well as which countries' residents travel the farthest for a post-wedding getaway.

Unsurprisingly, Hawaii, a common choice for Americans and foreigners, dominates five out of the 10 places global honeymooners traveled to when choosing a destination in the U.S.

Top destinations in the U.S. for all (international + U.S.) couples:

1. Las Vegas, Nevada
2. Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii
3. Honolulu, O'ahu, Hawaii

5. Key West, Florida
6. Po'ipü, Kaua'i, Hawaii
7. Kïhei, Maui, Hawaii
8. Gatlinburg, Tennessee
9. New York City, New York
10. Lake Buena Vista, Florida

When countries outside the U.S. were included, some amazing overseas destinations made it high onto the list.

According to Facebook, 19% of U.S. honeymooners travel internationally. Those frequent flier miles have nothing on those of South Korean honeymooners, though. Facebook found that couples from South Korea travel the greatest distance to get away, with a median trip of 4,000 miles away from home. How's that for an exotic honeymoon?!

Is It Possible to Quit Being a Bridesmaid?

Sure, being a bridesmaid is a huge honor, but it's never 100 percent easy for the bride or her 'maids. Of course celebrating one of your best friends or closest family members on the big day and helping to ensure it's extra special is amazing, but there are some logistical sides to participating in a wedding party that could throw a wrench in everything. Financial responsibilities are probably the number one cause of trouble, second to the long list of pre-wedding responsibilities, or a 'maids negativity (or jealousy) towards your relationship. As disappointing as these conflicts can be, there are solutions. Whether you're sick of your bridezilla best friend, or a 'maid of yours is being extremely unsupportive, here's some advice for how to quit being a bridesmaid or fire one tactfully.

Can I quit being a bridesmaid if it's too much of a financial burden or if my friend has turned into a major bridezilla?
First and foremost, whenever a conflict arises you should talk to the bride candidly. Especially with money conflicts, be open and honest about what you can and can't afford. Hopefully she'll be open to finding a new dress or picking a less expensive locale for her bachelorette. If all bridesmaids are in agreement, you should stand up to the bride together as a group. She's been your friend for years, she should understand!

How do I politely fire a bridesmaid who has been extremely negative the whole process?
Bridesmaids are there to support you, and if she's not willing to be there for you, then she isn't not doing her job. Speak honestly about your concerns, and if she's not receptive, you can always say that she may not have realized the responsibilities when she signed on, and because she's so dear to you, it's ok if she just wants to attend the wedding as a guest.

The Disney Channel Is Airing Its First Proposal Ever

Disney is not one to shy away from a fairy-tale romance. But for some reason, the network has never aired a proposal on one of their TV shows — until now!

Tonight's episode of Jessie, a show about an aspiring actress-turned-nanny for a wealthy Manhattan family, will feature an adorable engagement for the first time in the channel's history.

Back in April, the network announced the forthcoming storyline. "Jessie is an adult, and we felt we could tackle this in a way that still feels appropriate for our audience," said Adam Bonnett, the Disney Channel's executive vice president. "The way we deal with this romance is very pure Disney fairy tale."

At the same time, Debby Ryan, who plays Jessie, expressed her excitement for her character's milestone. "I've told enough secrets for now. Excited to share this part of my girl's life with you; #JESSIESgettingmarried," she tweeted.

In tonight's episode "No Money, Mo' Problems," Jessie's tuxedo-clad boyfriend Brooks (Pierson Fode) waits for her in her employer's rose petal-strewn foyer. She, obviously, is a bit caught off guard by this surprise. He starts to declare his love for her, saying sweet things like, "You are the most amazing girl I have ever met. You love me, for myself. You make me a better person. You make me happy."

The hilariously quick-witted Jessie then retorts, "Ok, this is usually followed by a but..." But Brooks reassures her, "No buts. I realize now that there will never be a more perfect girl for me. And since I'm lucky enough to have found the girl of my dreams, I see no reason to wait."

Our favorite line, though, is when he drops down on one knee, and Jessie jokes, "Wow, is that a diamond ring or a disco ball." Too cute!

You can watch the full clip on E! News, or watch Jessie tonight, when it airs at 8 p.m. on the Disney Channel.

Fall Wedding Must Haves

There's more to fall than pumpkin spice lattes and cozy sweaters (though those are nice, too). With the shift to cooler temps comes one of the prettiest wedding seasons! To help you give your ceremony and reception an autumnal aesthetic, we pulled together five must-haves that represent the hallmarks of the season.

1. The Cake Topper
There's something so quintessentially fall about a pretty wooden cake topper. This rustic option looks particularly striking when paired with a rustic naked wedding cake, but it would sit pretty on any tiered confection. "Mr. and Mrs. Cake Topper", $38, BHLDN

2. The Accessory
Whether you pair it with a veil or use it as your only hair accessory, a delicate crystal headdress is a stunning addition to your wedding dress. The shape of this new Jenny Packham piece reminds us of fall foliage and adds just enough understated sparkle to a big-day look. "Tzarina" crystal bridal headdress, about $466, Jenny Packham

4. The Dress
Pair this amazing high-neck, cap-sleeve ball gown with a bouquet bursting with autumnal hues, and you'll be a seasonal knockout down the aisle. Chantilly lace and silk faille ball gown, Marchesa

5. The Favor
You don't have to tie the knot in the Big Apple to give your guests some of New York City's best ice cream. Brooklyn-based Blue Marble ships their mini cups nationally. And with seasonal flavors like Pumpkin Ice Cream and Spiced Cider Sorbet, these sweet treats are are an appropriate — and delicious — fall favor.
