Ashley Tisdale Shares More Wedding Photos & Reveals Who Designed Her Dress!

Even more details about Ashley Tisdale's wedding have been revealed — including new scoop on her dress!

It was just reported that the High School Musical's lace wedding dress was designed by Monique Lhuillier. The body-hugging design is incredibly figure-flattering, and we love how the boho flower crown offsets the classic romance of her gown. For his part, her new husband, Annie Automatic lead singer Christopher French, wore a tux by John Varvatos.

And while we knew her BFF Vanessa Hudgens was one of her six well-dressed bridesmaids, we just found out the other famous faces who were in attendance at her big day, which took place just outside of Santa Barbara, California. The fun photo booth snap, above, shows 90210 star Shenae Grimes and her husband Josh Beech made the guest list, too.

Tisdale's wedding planner Lisa Vorce talked to People about the picture-perfect event, which mixed rustic, ethereal, and bohemian elements. For instance, the reception featured soft garden roses and wooden farm tables covered with lace table runners making the overall effect, "the perfect intimate and elegant celebration that Ashley and Chris envisioned."

As the pictures prove, the wedding was "inspired by all things rustic and romantic," Vorce added.

The actress broke the news that she tied the knot earlier this week on Instagram. She posted an adorable picture of herself and her new husband, arm and arm, and wrote: "Best day of my life! Introducing Mr and Mrs French Sept 8, 2014 Shot by @corbingurkin."

Beyond the Thread Count: What to Know About Registering for Sheets

Registering for Sheets

You'll hear people brag about their 800 thread-count sheets, but does that mean they're necessarily the best? Possibly not, depending on what you're looking for out of your sheets. There's also fiber, yarn thickness, weave, and finish to consider. Various combinations result in different feels, from soft and weighty to crisp and cool. Here's what to keep in mind:

Thread Count: Quite simply, this is the number of vertical and crosswise threads (warp and weft) per square inch. It seems like a higher thread count would yield a thicker, more luxurious sheet, but think about it: The more threads you squeeze into that square inch, the thinner they'd have to be in order to fit. According to Consumer Reports, the "sweet spot" is around 400, though some sheets with a thread count of around 300 are great, as well.

Yarn Thickness: Many sheets will be woven using single-ply yarn, or yarn with only one thickness, resulting in thinner sheets. Double ply (two threads twisted around one another) sheets will be thicker and possibly more durable.

See More: 10 Items Couples Forget to Register For — But Shouldn't!

Fiber: Do you prefer cotton, linen, silk, bamboo, or a blend? According to Justin Sonfield, general manager of merchandising at The Company Store, "cotton is still king" for its durability and comfort. Linen is light and textural and silk is smooth, luxurious, and naturally hypoallergenic. In addition, bamboo offers the softness of cotton but can be more durable, eco-friendly, and antimicrobial. Better blends, such as cotton and silk or cotton and bamboo, capitalize on the best properties of each fiber, says Sonfield.

And if you think it's as simple as choosing cotton, think again. There's a range there, too: Egyptian, Pima, and Supima (the trademarked name for 100 percent American Pima) are premium cottons. They have longer fibers, resulting in softer, suppler sheets. Egyptian cotton is the most luxurious, breathable, and absorbent. Make sure the label says 100 percent Egyptian cotton. Otherwise, the sheets may only have a little Egyptian woven in with more standard cotton.

Weave: Weave has a lot to do with the feel of the sheets. According to Sonfield, percale sheets are crisp and cool (think hotel sheets) while sateen sheets are satiny-smooth. Flannel sheets have a soft, raised nap and are warm and cozy. And jersey sheets aren't woven at all, but knitted, for that soft, drapey feel you love in your favorite tee.

Care: More lavish sheets like linen or silk are lovely, but they require special care. It may be worth it to you to invest the extra time and expense required for their upkeep. But, if you're more of a wash-and-go type, consider skipping the special fibers. Even so, Sonfield suggests washing your sheets alone to ensure they get the best clean possible and remove them from the dryer quickly to prevent wrinkles.

Wait, Are Prince Harry & Cressida Bonas Getting Back Together?

Prince Harry Cressida Bonas Officially Broken Up

Third time's the charm? From the looks of it, Prince Harry and ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas, may be getting back together for the third time.

The royal and his long-lasting love interest were spotted together at the movies, Tuesday, at a theater near Kensington Palace to see Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel's new flick Sex Tape, British newspaper The Sun reports. Once the film finished, they went their separate ways, Harry into his security car, Cressida in a cab.

"They tried hard to blend in. None of the other cinemagoers seemed to realize," a fellow moviegoer told the paper.

But that's no the only recent outing they've been spotted together. Just this past Sunday, two days before their movie date, Cressida attended the finale concert of the Invictus Games, Harry's passion project.

While cozy-ing up to watch a movie does seems really indicative, ever since their split, a source close to the former couple told People that they are merely "the best of friends."

See more: Prince Harry Got Caught Doing What at His Friends Wedding?

The two first split in April after sources revealed that Cressida was too "needy" and meanwhile she felt "stifled" by being in the public eye. In May, hope seemed to re-emerge when the two had a reunion. Unfortunately in June, reports said that they were over for good.

"They were really in love with each other, and it was a painful decision to part," an insider told People at the time of their breakup. "Their relationship wasn't working out."

Sure, there's a ton of mixed signals, breakups, and makeups with these two, but if you may recall there's another royal pair that famously broke up and reunited only to marry and have kids — we're talking about Prince William and Duchess Kate of course.

Fingers crossed that they can work it out, and that soon we'll have another royal wedding on its way.

Picture This: Answers to 3 Common Wedding Photography Questions

Your wedding photographs are a tangible record of a special time in your life and a gift for generations to come. That's why choosing the right person is so important. Before hiring a photographer, you should consider several questions, including budget, photo style, and length of service. As you do so, it's also good to keep in mind other, more granular aspects that you might not have considered. We found some helpful etiquette questions and answers that should help guide you toward the right wedding photographer.

Can you give me a quick crib sheet on the technical side of photography?
A photographer's portfolio may be all you need to get a good sense of the type of work he or she can do for you. But knowing a little bit about the technical side of photography can help you when discussing equipment options. Photography done with a medium- or large-format camera will be less grainy when enlarged than images shot in 35 mm. If you prefer a natural look indoors and out and dislike flash photography, the photographer will use fast film, often film with an ASA of 200 or faster. However, faster film also loses sharpness when enlarged.

I love the look of black and white, but my parents want my pictures to be in color. Is one more appropriate than the other?
There is a decided trend toward black-and-white wedding photography, particularly among the burgeoning school of brides and grooms who prefer a more candid, photojournalistic approach. Although black-and-white film is less expensive, it is more expensive to process and print than color. If you want some black-and-white shots, make sure your photographer is skilled in this area. Many brides and grooms hire photographers who are willing to switch back and forth, capturing, for example, the processional in color and the recessional in black and white; this can be the best of both worlds, particularly when it is negotiated as part of the package. Be mindful that black and white won't preserve the day's colors, but it can confer a timelessness that can add power and beauty to some images.

Do we have any legal recourse in the event that our photographs don't turn out? Are the professionals expected to pay a damage fee, or will they offer to re-create portions of the day?
While nothing will replace lost photos, you shouldn't have to pay for someone else's errors or accidents. Make sure your contract clearly delineates not only your right to pay if work is not delivered but also the return of your deposit and the professional's financial responsibility to pay you if he or she doesn't deliver. If the photographer will not agree to the latter, check on industry wedding insurance with your insurance agent to see what coverage is available and at what cost.

In addition, your ceremony and reception sites may require liability insurance of any vendor or service you bring in from the outside. Check early on to see if it is required, and if so, make sure the professionals you hire have liability insurance and proof of insurance to be sent to those who require it.

5 Things Every Bride Can Learn from Cover Star Lindsay Ellingson's Sweet Southern Wedding

The last person Victoria's Secret Angel Lindsay Ellingson expected to meet at Jay Z and Kanye's launch party for Watch the Throne in 2011 was her future husband. "Someone bumped into me on the dance floor," says Lindsay. "I turned around and saw tall, dark, and handsome." He turned out to be Sean Clayton, and after the pair ran into one another again the next day, they knew it was meant to be. Two years later, Sean proposed near his family's home on Thanksgiving morning, and the couple began planning a wedding down south at Palmetto Bluff. "Sean and I love it there," says Lindsay. "The first time we ever talked about getting married was during a trip there, so it was only fitting that we go back for our wedding."

For the full scoop on Lindsay and Sean's big day, as well as the other bridal looks she donned for our shoot, pick up the October/November 2014 issue of Brides (on newsstands now!). As a bonus, we've got five tips every bride-to-be could use from this couple's rosy-hued South Carolina celebration.

Give yourself time
"The best advice I got was to slow everything down," says the bride. "We started getting ready as early as possible, and I still ended up feeling rushed!"

Remember your scent
While she was shopping for shoes, Lindsay spritzed on the Jimmy Choo fragrance. "Sean had never noticed my perfume before, but he told me he loved this one," she says, "so I went back and bought a bottle. Now the scent will always remind me of our wedding day."

Trust your style instincts
Lindsay, inspired by Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and Grace Kelly, knew that she wanted a classic wedding, and her bouquet was no exception. "I realized every picture on my Pinterest board included Lily of the Valley," she says. "So even though it's not the most practical choice for July, my florist made it happen!"

Take lessons
Instead of slowly swaying for their first dance, Sean and Lindsay hired a pro to teach them some moves. "We wanted to give your guests something fun to watch," says Lindsay of their spins and dips.

Don't rush to leave
Though the reception officially ended at midnight — complete with a sparkler exit — the couple and their guests stuck around for a couple more hours, roasting marshmallows and dancing by the Inn's fire pits.

One Bride Reveals the Perks of Designing Her Own Wedding Band

Chloe Melas Wedding Band Shopping

Meet Chloe Melas, the Senior Entertainment Reporter at HollywoodLife.com and host of VH1's morning show The Gossip Table! Chloe is in the midst of planning her New York City wedding, and she's sharing each step of the process. From her bachelorette party to the honeymoon and everything in between, stay tuned for the reporter's wedding chronicles. For her latest installment, Chloe gives her tips for designing your own wedding band.

The band is such an important part of your wedding day. No, I'm not talking about the music, (but yes that's important too) I'm talking about that piece of metal you'll wear on your ring finger for the rest of your life! Here's how I look at it, the man, at least in my case, designed the engagement ring. My fiancé did the most amazing job, he spent months agonizing over every little detail with our jewelry designer, Laura Bee. When the time came for us to pick out our bands, it felt right working with Laura again but this time, I had a few ideas. My thoughts ladies, it's now your turn to get creative and design your own bling! Here are some things to keep in mind while customizing your band:

1. Get creative.
Don't be bashful, if you want rubies and emeralds, speak up now, you're wearing it f-o-r-e-v-e-r! Plus wearing something that you designed will truly feel even more special when he slips it on your hand. You can do things that you can't do when buying a ring out of a case in a store, like mix up the metals and stones. I actually had Laura reset mine twice because I ended up going for a scooped eternity band. You get that kind of flexibility when you work one-on-one with a designer.

2. Don't feel obligated to choose a band that matches your engagement ring.
Everybody gave me their opinion about how I should design my ring. "Do something small, you don't want to take away from your engagement ring," "I'd do something that connects like a puzzle piece." Don't listen to anyone's opinion, you are the one who will be wearing this every day, not your mom, aunt, cousin or best friend. Consider this a stand alone ring that you will wear without your engagement ring on occassion. Honestly, my band is a bit, ahem, flashier than many suggested to go for, but hey, I might wear it on one hand on a Monday and my engagement ring on the other on Tuesdays. But then some days I'll have my Elizabeth Taylor moment and want my ring finger blinged out! You can never have too many diamonds, so stop worrying about what everybody else says and just go for it.

3. Design your man's ring too.
It's not just about you! Guys are actually excited to wear a ring too. In Brian's case, he didn't think he would like wearing a ring because he's never really worn jewelry. But after we spent time trying on different bands, picking out various metals, and working out what width he felt most comfortable with, it ended up being really fun. He ended up getting two bands so that he can switch it up depending on what watch he's wearing — no I'm not joking. So involve him in the process and don't forget to engrave something sweet.

f you don't have a jewelry designer you or your family already works with, check out TrueKnots.com. They are available across the country at various retailers and they do tons of custom wedding bands — we actually got Brian's from here at Laura's suggestion!

Jenny McCarthy Already Lost Her Engagement Ring — Read the Hilarious Story!

Jenny McCarthy Donnie Wahlberg Wedding Planning

Only two weeks of marriage in, and Jenny McCarthy is already without a wedding ring. No, she and brand-new hubby Donnie Wahlberg aren't calling it quits (that would break Kim Kardashian's 72-day marriage record, though) — she just accidentally lost her band.

According the Sirius XM host, McCarthy slipped off the ring Wahlberg had just placed on her finger, resting it on a room service cart before "getting frisky" with her man. Unfortunately, they may have gotten a bit too frisky, since after they were done they realized that McCarthy's ring is nowhere to be found!

"I've already lost the ring," she told Good Day NY. "We were staying in a hotel and you can't have a wedding ring on ... it's a little hard to get romantic with diamonds on your hand! I removed it and put it on the room service table, and they came and turned down the room and the ring was gone."

"But you know what, though? If you're gonna lose your wedding ring, you should lose it that way," McCarthy added. We couldn't agree more! It's better than it falling down the sink, or getting eaten by the dog.

See more: Why is Sex So Vital to a Happy Marriage?

"I'm hoping someone does find it. They could have maybe not seen it, or it could have gone under a dish and thrown away on accident," she told ABC News. "But I'm missing it today! I keep going, 'Where is my ring?!' But Donnie and I are both laughing that at least we lost it for the best reason possible!"

Turns out, the ring was found and returned to its rightful owner. To quell any further quips about the misplaced item, Wahlberg hilariously tweeted, "Before the rumor mill goes crazy- we found Jenny's wedding band. Right where I thought it was... #BetweenTheSheets"

At least these two can laugh about it! Seems like their marriage is off to a proper start.

Once a cheater, always a cheater
"I met this guy at my friend's wedding and we really hit it off. We live on opposite sides of the country so I didn't think anything would come of it other than a night of casual fun, but I remember being struck by how nice and genuine he seemed. We ended up spending the night together. In the morning we exchanged numbers and talked about meeting up in a couple months when he visited the city I live in. Later that day I decided to check him out on Facebook, only to discover a profile picture of him with another girl. There were also tons of posts on his wall saying, "Congrats on your engagement!" from about three weeks earlier. I texted him to ask if it was true, and he admitted it. Needless to say, we never spoke again." — Laura

My super ex-girlfriend
"I was the maid of honor at one of my best friend's weddings a year ago, and I made out with this cute guy after the rehearsal dinner on Friday night. Fast forward to the wedding on Saturday, and I'm sitting at the same table as him and his ex-girlfriend. They were dancing the entire evening, and I'm pretty sure they shared a room together that night as well. The following day he sat at the same brunch table as me. It was a little awkward; however we are friends now." — Elaine

A trip down memory lane
"In college, I was a hostess at an upscale restaurant and hotel that hosted a lot of wedding receptions. One night, a cute groomsmen invited me to come to his friend's wedding and reception. I love weddings too much to be a party crasher, but my BFF and I met up with him later and took a ride on their party bus into town. At 3AM we all piled back into the bus and headed back towards the restaurant/hotel, where the party continued. At one point, my groomsman took my hand and we walked around the corner to one of the gorgeous banquet halls. We goofed around a little, then he lifted me up unto the bar and we had the hottest makeout session ever. The next morning I was with my BFF at our favorite bagel shop in town for breakfast. And my groomsman walked into the shop looking like hell-served him right for how much he had to drink that night. I grabbed my friend's arm and freaked. That was him! He walked out without noticing that I was sitting right there. Five minutes later I got a text from him telling me how much fun he had." — Kaity

And they lived happily ever after
"I met my fiancé at my best friend's wedding almost two years ago. I was her maid of honor and before the wedding she sent me a list of five to 10 single guys I should try to meet there. I didn't think much of the list, but it's fun to look back now because Chris (my fiancé) is on it. He's a friend of her husband's. We only talked for a few minutes at the reception and danced once, but we talked for hours at the after party and then started a long distance relationship. I moved to Nashville for him a year and a half ago and we're getting married in December." — Caitlin

George Clooney Amal Alamuddin Wedding Details

George Clooney is going to be one dapper groom on his wedding day. As rumors continue to swirl about his fiancée Amal Alamuddin's wedding dress, the designer of Clooney's wedding suit confirmed his involvement in the highly-anticipated nuptials, which are slated to happen this month.

Famed Italian designer Giorgio Armani revealed yesterday that he's dressing the A-list actor for his upcoming nuptials in Venice, Italy. "George has chosen and been fitted for an Armani suit for his wedding," local TV reports quoted him as saying after his Emporio Armani show at Milan Fashion Week on Thursday.

Armani is a comfortable and unsurprising choice for Clooney. The actor is a longtime fan of the Italian design house and has worn the label's tuxes for many awards shows and red carpets. Earlier this summer, a design team from Armani was even seen at Clooney's Lake Como villa!

He's even been characteristically outspoken about his preference for the fashion house. "I have one tux. Just one," he told People when he was chosen as the magazine's Sexiest Man Alive in 2006. "It's a single-button [Armani]. There's only one mistake guys can make, and that is to try to do anything fancy. Just put on a tux. Just put a tie on, put a plain shirt on, don't wear a bolo tie, and don't wear a cummerbund that's crazy."

Looks like he'll add one more to his collection for his wedding! If the tux is a gift from his designer friend, it'll be a relief to Alamuddin's parents — the bride's traditional mom and dad are reportedly footing most of the wedding bill!

Fashion month continued this week in London and Milan, and the best part about the spring/summer 2015 collections continues to be the many ideas for brides! From dreamy Marchesa to minimal Osman, London's runways presented several looks that are perfect to inspire your own wedding-day style. And Milan's designers did not disappoint, showing barely-there transparency and romantic lace.

Here, we rounded up the five gowns that a bride could wear down the aisle.

Emilia Wickstead: The designer, who famously counts the Duchess of Cambridge as a fan, showed a collection full of beautiful, gently architectural shapes in soft, muted colors suited for a bridal party. We love this rose double-faced satin gown, above, at left, with a plunging neckline — a daring silhouette designed for an elegant woman.

Marchesa: This season, Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman returned to their native London to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Marchesa. In true Marchesa fashion, there were swathes of tulle, cascading floral embroidery, and plenty of illusion bodies. Our favorite is this off-the-shoulder gown, above, at right, that would delight as a wedding dress for a ceremony in an English garden.

Julien MacDonald: Julien MacDonald's body-conscious collection (with just the right amount of reserve) culminated in this stunning white gown. We love the mix of conservative and daring thanks to the the lace appliquéd sleeves and plunging neckline.

Osman: Known for inventive shapes and avant-garde details, we're fans of the fashion houses's minimal white embroidered column for an understated bride.

Alberta Ferretti: Moving to the runways of Milan, Alberta Ferretti's beautiful show was full of bridal inspiration, especially this gorgeous soft blush-transparent A-line gown with bold lace details — a style moment that is glamorous, yet entirely natural.

Find Out the Adorable Thing Dax Shepard Wears Instead of a Wedding Ring

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard's relationship has never been traditional. First, they waited until gay marriage was allowed in California before they even thought of tying the knot. Then, once they were able to, they threw what was lightheartedly coined "The World's Worst Wedding." They planned an afternoon civil ceremony at the Beverly Hills County Clerk's Office, where they were merely going to retrieve a marriage license. Instead, though, they took up an employee's offer to get married in one of the empty court rooms. Following the ceremony, the institution's employees gifted the newlyweds a cake, hilariously dubbing the big day a terrible one.

So it doesn't come as much of a surprise that Dax doesn't even wear a wedding band to signify his marriage. Instead, the This is Where I Leave You star opted for a symbolic tattoo.

The tattoo itself, above, is of a Bell, which obviously represent Bell's last name. Inside the bell, adorably, are scrawled three initials: K, L, and D for Kristen, Dax, and little baby Lincoln.

"I don't like wearing jewelry, but I felt obliged to warn all the men that I'm taken," Shepard joked during his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today. "I thought a tattoo would be fitting. And her last name, conveniently, is an object I could tattoo."

The only problem is that he has to figure out a way to fit in baby number two's initial into his body art. He poked fun at the fact that he's stuck naming his child something with a D, K or L. "Dellen," Shepard joked. "Dellen Egeneres."

Aside from the name, the pair is also choosing to keep the baby's gender a secret. "It's going to be a surprise ... to America," he told the talk show host.

We love the idea of choosing your own marriage marker. But Shepard isn't the only celeb to get a tattoo on his wedding ring finger: Beyoncé and Jay Z both got the Roman numeral for four, IV, tattooed on their fingers to symbolize their bond.

When it comes to your wedding centerpieces, remember to inject a little personality and creativity. So much of your wedding is focused on your style and taste that it's more than okay to think outside of the classic flowers-in-a-vase look. If you feel like you want your centerpieces to make a statement — do it! After all, some of our awesome Facebook followers certainly did. We asked them to share photos of their centerpieces, and the results were totally unique. Here, we highlighted a few of our favorites for your wedding inspiration and viewing pleasure.

Nautical Chic and Everything Nice: Lanterns are ideal components of centerpieces. Not only do they like pretty, but they also serve a practical purpose for evening weddings. Bride Stephanie Frady took this to heart when creating hers (top left), which incorporate a seaside-chic wooden lantern with fresh white flowers and greenery. Along with table numbers and navy blue linens, the overall effect is perfect for a seaside-inspired wedding.

Make Like a Tree and Bloom: The arrangement at top right, which bride Mallarie Cash featured at her reception, is an insanely cool take on the traditional floral centerpiece thanks to its tree trunk-inspired base! It looks neat and certainly made for a great conversation piece.

When in Doubt, Get Glittering: Bride Marina Zurcher DIY'ed the glittery gold bottles seen in the photo at bottom right. By pairing these glitzy items with simple flowers like baby's breath and pink roses in mason jars, she managed to make a homespun wedding feel utterly glamorous.

Don't Be Afraid to Get Rustic: We're big fans of wedding details that bring the outdoors in (and hey, so is Kate Middleton!). That's why we approve of bride Trish Tawfik's centerpiece (bottom left). We love the organic way that the branches bring flowers to a new height, and the suspended candles feel especially romantic.

It's only been a year since Chrissy Teigen and John Legend tied the knot, but the comedic supermodel is already looking forward to growing old with her husband.

Just this week, Teigen told Us Weekly that she loves to throw around the word "forever," something she never used to do pre-marriage.

"I think you are just more comfortable talking about the future more," Teigen said of how their relationship changed post-wedding. "I was the kind of girl that never talked about marriage and kids ... [Now] you just end up talking about everything as forever which is very cool. It's nice to be able to be like, 'I can't wait to see you with gray hair, it's going to be hysterical.' Or, 'I can't wait until you have to use Viagra, that's going to be hysterical!'" she joked.

We kind of love how lightheartedly these two take their love. Case in point: During their romantic one-year anniversary celebration in Paris last week, they visited the famed cabaret show Crazy Horse.

"Took John to see other boobs for our anniversary to make up for the 364 days of the year I'm insufferable," Teigen captioned her Instagram of their evening. "PS they are insanely talented and not just boobs."

On a more serious note, though, Mrs. Legend divulged that she looks forward to having kids, and wants plenty!

"I want a huge family," the gorgeous model told Us. "We want a lot of kids. When it happen, it happens. For us it's hard because he's on the road so much and I'm working. People think it happens so easily ... but the stars really have to align to have a baby and it is a little miracle so when it happens ... we will be so happy."

We will too! Well, it sounds like these two are doing things right.

There's no doubt that being a bride's maid of honor is a huge undertaking, and therefore, there are plenty of duties that come with the job. From outlining the maid of honor's traditional responsibilities, to tough situations like who to choose and how to deal with distance between you and your MOH, our etiquette experts answer your most pressing maid of honor questions.

What are the MOH's chief responsibilities?
Of course, the number one responsibility of any maid of honor is to support the bride in preparing of and during her big day. This means that you're there for all the big events especially the pre-wedding parties, including the bachelorette and bridal shower which you'll most likely have to help organize if not bare the full responsibility of planning. You're in charge of mobilizing the girls for whenever they're needed, and of course, should be right by the bride's side come the wedding: Fixing the train down the aisle, holding her bouquet during the ceremony, and presenting her future husband's ring at the right moment. You know, the works.

What should I do if my closest friends lives far away and can't do most of her MOH duties? Do I choose someone else?
Not necessarily! It depends on how you define the role of maid-of-honor, maybe she can't be there for everything but if she's your closest friend, you should honor her regardless. Maybe she can divide and conquer, and enlist the rest of your girls to help you out when she's not there too! You can also just make her a regular bridesmaid, or have no maid-of-honor at all. Either way, it's up to you, but distance definitely shouldn't have to determine the job title.

Can my mom be my matron of honor?
Absolutely! Sure, it's not necessarily traditional for a mother of the bride to double as a maid of honor, but plenty of groom's ask their father's to be the best man, if your relationship warrants that type of honor, why not?

A gift table is a necessary part of any wedding décor — after all, guests have traveled near and far to celebrate your big day, and most will come baring a congratulatory card or present. Creating a designated area for your friends and family to leave their gifts is important, but it's best to make this spot blend seamlessly into your overall reception space. A small table near your table assignments (with a receptacle for cards and space for any tangible gifts) will do the trick, but consider an out-of-the-box idea for a more creative take on the necessity.

For couple's who prefer to make this part of the reception actually feel like décor, we found six great ideas that will transform your wedding gift table into a fresh display.

Gift Wagon (above): Fall weddings beg for rustic details. This antique wagon was painted and transformed into a clever gift table for an outdoor bash.

Vintage Ballot Box: Consider finding or renting a vintage item. This couple found an antique ballot box at Something Borrowed, a Portland-based antique retailer, that was the ideal size for cards and perfectly complemented their barn-themed wedding.

Decorative Glass Box: A decorative box, like this shabby-chic painted glass option, is a pretty pick for your gift table.

Ornate Birdcage: It couldn't be easier for guests to slip their cards through the bars of this pretty birdcage. Complete with a floral sign and bird accents, this antique piece blends seamlessly into the décor.
