BRIDES: What was the inspiration behind Monique Lhuillier Fine Jewelry?
Monique Lhuillier: I was inspired by the designs of my bridal gowns. Above all, I wanted my jewelry collection to be delicate, romantic and refined, qualities that define my bridal aesthetic.
BRIDES: What is your favorite engagement ring cut?
ML: I love the simplicity and elegance of a round-cut diamond enveloped in romantic setting.
BRIDES: What factors should a bride consider when choosing her engagement ring?
ML: A bride's engagement ring should be a true reflection of her personal style. Similar to my bridal designs, the engagement ring should be as unique as the bride herself.
BRIDES: Can you provide a nervous groom-to-be with some tips on proposing?
ML: Proposing should be one of the most unforgettable moments for a couple, however, the groom shouldn't over think it. He should keep it light and fun—not staged and formal.
