After Drew Barrymore wed Will Kopelman in a vintage-inspired backyard ceremony at her home in Montecito, CA, the star needed only one word to describe how she felt: "The day was perfect," she told People. "Everyone we love and care about was there. It was as fun and meaningful as we ever could have hoped."

Perfection for this pregnant third-time bride meant a custom Chanel wedding gown of pleated muslin and organza, which featured a delicate ruffle around the collar, a black satin belt at the waist, and a skirt adorned with tulle flowers and feathers. Barrymore complemented her Karl Lagerfeld-designed couture with more than 14 carats of diamonds, divided among her various Chanel Fine Jewelry baubles, including 1.42-carat Fil de Camelia earrings and a vintage Eventail cuff of white and black diamonds. For the ceremony, Barrymore carried a vibrant bouquet of pink peonies and roses designed by The Velvet Garden, which she later replaced with a black tweed Chanel jacket for the reception.

Nearly 200 friends and family—Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz, Steven Spielberg, and Scarlett Johansson among them—gathered for the backyard ceremony, a low-key affair that featured readings from The Velveteen Rabbit and e.e. cummings' "i carry your heart with me." For their recessional, the couple chose "I Will" by the Beatles.

Working with celebrity event designer Yifat Oren, Barrymore and Kopelman planned an evening of gourmet treats and 1980s jams, beginning with a sunset cocktail hour of lobster rolls and pork buns catered by L.A. hotspots Animal and Son of a Gun. A family-style dinner of fried chicken and steak followed, provided by Lucques restaurant and accompanied by Barrymore's own brand of wine. "Drew was so effervescent and so happy in every bite of food she took, every speech, every song," Oren also told People. "She's just the real deal."

The newlyweds performed their first dance to Band of Horses' "No One's Gonna Love You" before guests hit the dance floor for night of '80s classics by cover band The Spazmatics. After another late-night bite catered by Escuela Taqueria and local food truck the Burger Bus, Barrymore and Kopelman made their getaway to San Ysidro Ranch in a vintage Mercedes convertible decorated with streamers and pink roses.
