From the sounds of it, Olympic ice dancers Charlie White and Tanith Belbin had a fairytale wedding this past Saturday at the Planterra Conservatory in Michigan. Outfitted with elegant, earthy details these famed skaters — who've known each other for more than 15 years and got engaged last May in Hawaii — kept it classic for their big day. One detail that was the sweetest of them all? Their three-tier white vanilla wedding cake!
The four-layer vanilla cake with raspberry curd and vanilla buttercream was decorated with fresh flowers in Sweet Heather Anne's bakery in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As you can imagine, this confection looks about as classic and timeless — while still making a statement — as you could want from a wedding cake.
"It was clear that they had a very refined taste but simple and classic," Claudia Kimble, the cake designer who worked on their cake, told People. "A lot of times clients come with specific cakes they want designed but that particular one, we kind of proposed to them and they loved it."

Of course, since they're Olympians, the cake wouldn't be complete without some gold, which is why the edge of each tier had featured a gilded touch for a subtle nod to their impressive accomplishments.
"They liked the softness of using blush fresh flowers and the added touch of mixed metals," Kimble added of her shimmering edible gold edge.
"They're just a very sweet couple," Heather Anne Leavitt, the bakery's owner who delivered the creation to the reception, noted to People of the newlyweds. Sure looks like it from the sweet snap posted by their photographer, Michael Simari, above!
