Among the non-glamorous aspects of planning a wedding is negotiating contracts with all of your vendors. One of the most important? The contract with your photographer and videographer. Here, what you need to figure out before signing a piece of paper from your photographer and videographer.
You found the photographer and videographer you want to record your wedding. Now that you've nailed them down, you need to make some assurances. Once confirming the dates and location of your wedding, you'll need to ask both of them for a fully itemized list of all the costs associated with their services. Also needed in the contract is the date (or dates) you both agreed upon, the time they'll spend shooting, the amount of photos that will be taken and the hours of video that will result from the day, and an outlined schedule of reviewing proofs and providing the final product to the bride and groom.

Another thing you must double-check before signing on the dotted line is that the cost allows for any added prints, enlargements or extra albums. It'd be good to ask if there are any packages available for extra albums for your parents or other close relatives.
On your end, you'll need to provide both with a copy of the venue's regulations regarding photography and videography. You'll also need to put them both in contact with the location's managers so that they can scout them and set up easily.
Finally, once everything is written up, be sure to ask both to go over every option available, in detail, to ensure you've signed up for everything you want. You're going to also want a record of everything to make sure you're getting all that you paid for!
