Amal Alamuddin and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, might have something in common quite soon — their wedding dress designer, that is. The future Mrs. George Clooney is rumored to be wearing a Sarah Burton-designed Alexander McQueen gown to her nuptials, which are happening in just a few weeks.
Alamuddin was spotted at McQueen's London headquarters on Wednesday, where she even stopped to exchange kisses with a seamstress outside, according to People, possibly alluding to a goodbye after a successful fitting. People contacted the brand for confirmation, but received no comment. During the visit, the international lawyer showcased her amazing personal style in a one-shoulder floral print and stripe maxi dress. Alamuddin also visited the Michael John Salon with her mother, Baria.

This goes against rumors that the bride would wear Oscar de la Renta for the ceremony, due to the influence of Anna Wintour, who will be attending the wedding. Page Six reported that "she [Wintour] and Oscar are such good friends and [she'd] want to give him some attention." At this point, it seems, only time will tell who will design the lucky lady's bridal gown!
As far as what the groom will be wearing, WWD reported that a team from Giorgio Armani was flown to Lake Como for a fitting for Clooney and his male attendants. From the looks of it, the wedding will be incredibly chic.
Meanwhile, Clooney and Alamuddin obtained their marriage license in August, so the happy couple is more or less ready to go, outfits aside. The pair will be wed in Italy — not a surprise to anyone as Clooney has a storied estate on Lake Como where both he and his fiancée spent a great deal of time this summer.
