One of the most stressful times for a woman is that limbo period between "Things are getting serious" and "Will you marry me?" At least we assume so. While we count down to our next meal, let's take a minute to review a few ways to know your man knows you're the one.
You Actually Talk About the Future
And he actually listens! And talks back! This is known as understanding where each other are coming from and being on the same page about wanting more than a casual thing. If you know he's committed, you know almost everything you need to. Bonus points if you've already named your future children and he hasn't run screaming for the hills.
You've Delivered the Ultimatum
Perhaps not the way you wanted to confirm how he feels about you, but the old "Marry Me Or Move Out" speech certainly leaves little room for doubt. Generally, you'd rather not go this route. Your man doesn't want to feel backed into a corner and you don't want to start things on a sour note by feeling like you forced him to marry you against his will. However, if you can nudge him in the right direction, or even just get the conversation moving forward, a gentle reminder won't necessarily hurt. Just keep it respectful and sincere, and try as hard as you can to avoid the phrase, "Or else."

He's Putting It Off
We realize this doesn't make a ton of sense and yes, he may just be too scared to even consider it in the first place, but think about it for a second: Proposing is one of the scariest things a man will ever do. Ergo, when he's realized you're the one he wants to marry, he'll irrationally shy away from the terrifying big step he must take to actually do so.
You Just Fit
As men, we have a tendency to let our eyes and minds wander from time to time, but we're also realistic. We know we're never going to have the luxury of being able to go Clooneying around the world, bedding supermodels from port to port (most of us, anyway). So rather than obsess over you being the "single, one-in-a-billion, only person out there that's truly meant for me and me alone," we consider whether, now that we've found you, you're the right fit for us. If it feels like you're a great fit, don't sweat it. He'll come around — we all do.
