Even more news has emerged about Jessica Simpson's highly-publicized July 5 wedding to Eric Johnson at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecido, California — and this tidbit might just be our favorite yet.
As we know, Simpson complemented her custom gold-emboridered Carolina Herrera gown with an absolutely gorgeous beauty look. But we didn't realize her pulled-back ethereal hairdo actually had some special meaning behind it.
The inspiration? Two-year-old daughter Maxwell's towhead tresses (she did, after all, say the whole wedding was about family!).
"I wanted her hair to be timeless, so the color was more of a baby blonde [to match] Maxwell's color, with subtle highlights that blend into her hair," Simpson's hair stylist Rita Hazan, who's worked with the star for 15 years, tells People.

To prep for the perfect shade, Hazan began applying single-process highlights once a month for six months leading up to the wedding. According to Hazan, it was vital to ensure her hair "didn't look fake."
"Highlight placement is important, and the tone is the most important. It has to be perfect: not too pale and not too golden," she says.
To get the most glowing gold strands, Hazan had Simpson apply her Ultimate Shine Color Gloss in "Breaking Brass" each time she washed her hair, and applied a conditioning treatment the week of the wedding.
All of the preparation worked — her wedding hair looked perfect!
