It's about time! Jessica Simpson finally married longtime love and fiancé of four years Eric Johnson on Saturday afternoon at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecido, California.

The parents of two — two-year-old daughter Maxwell, who served as flower girl, and one-year-old son Ace, who made for an adorable ring bearer — exchanged vows in a traditional ceremony held on the resort's main lawn. The two said "I do" against a rose garden backdrop with chevron-seating in front of them, while the Beach Boys' 1966 ballad "God Only Knows" played as they arrived, E! News reports.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the venue's garden. The dinner reception was held at an undisclosed location, but reportedly a live band played while friends and family enjoyed a gourmet three-course meal (short ribs, fish, and a vegetarian option were offered) according to E! News.

Simpson wore a custom champagne-and-gold multi-layer tulle Caroline Herrera gown featuring a strapless neckline and a blue ribbon tucked away on the inside to act as her "something blue." "The whole dress is embroidered in gold and feels very regal," Herrera tells People. A cathedral-length veil, Brian Atwood shoes, and Neil Lane jewelry completed Simpson's bridal look.

As for the guests, sister Ashlee Simpson and fiancé Evan Ross, of course, were amongst the 250-plus attendees, along with Jessica Alba, husband Cash Warren, and actor Topher Grace.

"We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment," the newlyweds told People post-nuptials. "To say 'I do' in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives."

Before the big day, the couple hosted a classic rehearsal dinner at the wedding's venue, in addition to a more family-friendly July Fourth-themed pre-wedding barbecue planned by Mindy Weiss. "It's very down home. But it's not a T-shirt and jeans Americana. Because Eric's from Boston, it's more khakis and white shirts. Very Kennedy!" Weiss explains.

The fun celebration featured a Southern-inspired buffet and a pie bar (yes, a pie bar!), plus patriotic sparklers, a photo booth, and games for the kids.

Overall, it sounds like this wedding was worth the long wait!
