Typically, it's Keira Knightley's fashion choices that catch our attention on the red carpet, but her beauty look managed to upstage her stunning navy blue Valentino gown at the New York City premiere of Begin Again. Her pretty makeup featuring a statement eye and soft waves would be perfect for a bride-to-be's rehearsal dinner or even her wedding day. Here, the key elements to getting Keira's look.

Center-Parted Tendrils:
Nothing says nonchalant elegance like a good center-parted wave — it's the key to making an evening gown look young and effortless. Quick tip? Tousled hair like this lays best with layered hair so the curls aren't too bottom heavy. To get the look, spray a heat-protecting volumizer on damp hair, concentrating it at the roots to ensure lasting lift. Blow dry hair with a large round brush and section off hair, curling each section with a one-and-a-half inch, clampless curling iron. Use your hands to lightly rough up the texture and finish with a light mist of hairspray.
Try: Sultra Bombshell Curling Rod, $130, available at Nordstrom; Bumble and bumble Thickening Hairspray, $28, available at Sephora; Drybar Money Maker Flexible Hold Hairspray, $25, available at Drybar

Navy Eyeliner:
Instead of using traditional black eyeliner, a swipe of shimmery, navy eyeliner can define and make your eyes pop just like black can, but it creates a softer look. Use a kohl pencil so it will easily glide onto your top and bottom lids and smudge it a bit like Keira did. Finish with a light, silvery eyeliner in the corners of your eyes to brighten up the look.
Try: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in LSD, $20, available at Sephora; NYX Slide On Eye Pencil in Platinum, $7.99, available at Ulta

Illuminated Cheeks:
For Keira's soft-focus finish, forgo bronzer and try a multi-purpose highlighter stick instead. We love Benefit Watt's Up, which glides on like a cream but turns into a powder to help keep oil at bay. Just dab it on your cheeks and then blend to create that lit-from-within bridal glow.

Mauve Lips:
When colored eyeliner is the statement, keep everything else neutral. Keira's pretty, mauve pout looks like the color of her own lips but just a bit more polished. After applying lipstick, intensify the look by dabbing your highlighter stick in the middle of your pout. (It's a small detail that makes a huge difference — trust us!)
