We knew George Clooney was a notorious playboy and prankster, but we had no idea the just-engaged star was also a romantic! Reportedly, Clooney got serious when it came to proposing to Amal Alamuddin.
According to Page Six, Clooney presented the gorgeous 7-carat emerald-cut ethically mined diamond engagement ring to the human right's lawyer during an at-home dinner date. "George cooked a meal himself for Amal at home on April 22, then he surprised her by getting down on bended knee and presenting her with the ring. He was so happy she accepted, he was calling friends with the news later that night," a source says.

Since that exciting moment, Clooney and Alamuddin have embarked on a veritable tour de romance. The night after the proposal, the newly-betrothed duo couple was "just beaming" at Craig's restaurant in LA, where they dined with friends. And on April 27, they kept the celebration going at dinner with Cindy Crawford and her husband.
Page Six sources said that if Clooney has his way, they'll cap off a whirlwind few months with a September wedding. "It's only four months away but they want to get married at the end of the summer, in early September, before Amal returns to work," the insider said.
As for where the power couple will tie the knot it seems that the gorgeous wedding-worthy Lake Como villa Clooney owns may not be ideal. "Lake Como would be a beautiful wedding location, but it may not give them any privacy. It is very easy for the public and paparazzi to see into the property."
