Andy Cohen may have to add another line to his lengthy resume: matchmaker! Jenny McCarthy announced her big engagement news on The View yesterday, but it's the Watch What Happens Live host who is responsible for introducing McCarthy to her brand new fiancé Donnie Wahlberg. Cohen had both stars on his show in October 2012 — exactly one year before they officially began dating in 2013.
Cohen sent out a congratulatory tweet yesterday, saying, "Mazel to @DonnieWahlberg & @JennyMcCarthy! I feel a little responsible for this one just saying! #ClubHouseLove."
McCarthy's response was more than just a gracious thank you: "We were actually considering asking him to marry us, so we will see," McCarthy responded, reports Us Weekly.
We think the outspoken host would make an incredible (and hilarious) officiant for the future Mr. and Mrs. Wahlberg's wedding, which, according to McCarthy, could happen as early as this August.
McCarthy took to Twitter last night to share her own message with fans. "So nice to see such happiness. Love my followers. Maybe we need to invite some you to the big day," she wrote.

Walhberg echoed his bride-to-be's sentiments, tweeting, "Blown away by the love & well wishes. Nothing surprises me in life, but the support I've seen today is unreal."
The talk of Cohen as a potential officiant wasn't the only big news swirling around the couple today. E! News got the scoop on McCarthy's 10-carat yellow sapphire engagement ring which was designed by Wahlberg with the help of Daniel Arik, owner of Newport Jewelers.
"He had an idea of what he wanted and was part of the design process, "Arik told E! News. "When he first came in, we showed him a few rings and he chose bits and pieces of each ring that he liked, we then combined what he liked and created a custom ring."
The finished product was absolutely stunning. The white gold band is covered in diamonds, as is the custom basket the holds the sapphire-center stone. If his eye for jewelry design is any indication, Wahlberg will definitely be involved with their wedding planning process.
