Austin Scarlett just showed his Spring 2015 bridal collection, and it features the elegant and feminine aesthetic we know and love from his wedding dresses. Last season, he designed a gorgeous collection that took the classic strapless dress and turned it on its head with folded bodices, jade beading, wave-like draping, and soft pink undertones.
For this collection, he went back to timeless bridal styles with inventive touches. The simple silk gown seen above, for example, has a strapless sweetheart neckline and a full skirt. The model's soft chignon is also a traditional wedding day hairstyle that complements the dress wonderfully. The unexpected twist? The ball gown's thoroughly modern pockets. We always love this addition. It lets brides carry anything they might need — their vows, something blue, or even some tissues.
We've seen our fair share of stunning backviews so far at Bridal Fashion Week, from open backs framed by thick straps to classic lace keyholes. Though this cowl style is simply beautiful. It takes a streamlined sheath and gives it an eye-catching touch. And what better way to show it off than with a retro-style updo like the one seen here? This pinned-up bob is a great style for brides with long hair that want to channel some Old Hollywood glam.
