To be honest, we felt just a teensy little bit guilty sharing our round-up of gorgeous, totally affordable bridesmaid dresses under $100 with you yesterday. We could sense your envy from here! The tradition of high price tags on bridal wear can make wedding dress shopping a stressful experience for budget-conscious brides—but every bride deserves beautiful wedding dress options!
Luckily, frugal brides don't have to wait for a bridal sample sale anymore to save big. H&M, the design-savvy retailer that brought us a $349 wedding dress courtesy of its 2006 Viktor & Rolf collection, has just changed the bridal game by introducing a $99 wedding dress. Yes, you read that right, and no, we didn't forget any zeroes at the end of that figure. Ninety-nine dollars, ladies!
The wedding dress, which reportedly is inspired by 1930s Hollywood glamour with a modern twist, will be available online and in select stores later this month. It features elaborate silver beading, a shirred bodice, gathered waist, and long, flowing skirt. We think it's so, so pretty!
Sure, we've seen some impressive, price-savvy wedding dresses from retailers like David's Bridal (with its just-released Truly Zac Posen collection), J. Crew, and Ann Taylor, but we think H&M has officially just won the affordable-wedding-dress game.
A gorgeous wedding dress that's cheaper than most bridesmaid dresses? We say, "I do!"
