It looks like recently engaged actress Gabrielle Union is veering away from tradition for her future wedding to Miami Heat player Dwyane Wade. The Think Like a Man Too star let it be known on The Arsenio Hall Show last night that she will not, repeat not, have a bridal party on her big day.
"No bridesmaids, no groomsmen," she told the host (you can watch the clip, above). "Trying to wrangle a bunch of broads, and ... somebody wants one kind of dress, somebody wants something else. You start to not like them after a couple months. I mean, we're older. This is the second time around. It's us and the kids."
That's one way to avoid a bridesmaid dress conflict! And in addition to cutting bridesmaids and groomsmen out of the equation, Union also dished that her guest list will be much smaller than many people would expect.
"There's a lot of people that think they're coming," Union told Arsenio. "And they are not. So it's bad." Luckily, her fiancé is apparently "the executioner," willing to cut any and all guests with ease. "If you're not about us, and we don't both have a relationship with you, you're not gonna make it," she added.
Union also revealed that there will most definitely be a prenuptial agreement. "The biggest difference between this and the last marriage will be a prenup. At my insistence," she told Arsenio. "When you have your own stuff, you don't need to worry about anyone else's stuff. So everyone should go into the relationship knowing I'm here for you, and you're here for me."
We love Union's hilarious candor about her wedding plans (funny—or not-so-funny—fact: at her first wedding the pastor pronounced her name wrong!) and we can't wait for more details.
