"When you say, 'I do'—when you say, 'Til death do us part'—those vows hold value. They're not just words. But these things happen," Seal told Ellen DeGeneres in an interview airing on her show today. Unlike the as-of-yet-unquoted Heidi Klum, Seal is opening up about his separation from the German model mogul, perhaps in a move to mitigate the rumors behind their split. In a joint statement announcing the news, Klum and Seal emphasized their need for privacy during this difficult time, if not for their own sakes, then for their four children.
"The thing that I'm most proud about this great woman who I married, and I really do mean that from the bottom of my heart, is that together, she has given me four incredible gifts, four beautiful children, and she's still, in my opinion, the most wonderful woman in the world." Either Seal is sending a veiled message to Klum via the public airwaves, or he's going to make one fantastic ex-husband. —Phillip B. Crook
