Talk about a very merry Christmas! Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada is engaged to Los Angeles Dodger player Carl Crawford.
The reality starlet posted a picture to her Instagram account on Christmas day of her nearly-blinding 14.5 carat diamond engagement ring with the caption, "YES!"
Apparently, the proposal was a total surprise (some of Santa's best work, we think). Almost as much of a surprise as when Lozada announced that she was six months pregnant in November, and only earlier this month revealed that the father was the Dodgers' outfielder, who she had been dating since earlier this year.
The stunning sparkler was custom-designed for her by none of than Jason Arasheben, CEO of Jason of Beverly Hills, who recently crafted Gabrielle Union's engagement ring and before that, Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles's Heather Bilyeu's gorgeous gem.
Crawford reportedly looked at 10 to 15 stones before picking the perfect setting to match (a diamond-studded band and halo, to be exact).
"Carl has been a longtime client of mine and I knew immediately that he was really smitten and in love and wanted to make a statement that would light up the Christmas tree as well as the bride-to-be," Arasheben told People of the baseball star. "His face just lit up when he saw it. You could tell they're very much in love. He was excited and nervous."
Lozada clearly lit up when she saw the ring, too. The TV regular posted another photo of the huge stone (which, weighing in at 14.5 carats, is up there with Kim Kardashian and Ciara's engagement rings) on Instagram to express her excitement. "Thank u so much @jasonofbh for this BEAUTIFUL DESIGN!!!! #HappiestGirlInTheWorld" she wrote as the caption.
Lozada divorced ex-husband Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson just last year after only two months of marriage, and was previously engaged to NBA player Antoine Walker, which is how she landed the role on VH1's popular reality series.
Clearly, third time is the charm for her!
"I'm overjoyed and in complete and utter shock!" Lozada told People of her recent engagement. "What a different year and a half it has been—I'm truly happy!"
Congratulations to the happy couple!
