Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul may seem like a tough (and heartbroken) guy on TV, but in real life, he's a hopeless romantic. Case in point: Paul helped lovestruck fan Jason Lord pop the question to his girlfriend of three years in Chicago this past weekend.

Jason pulled out all of the stops for his proposal to girlfriend, Jackie Prater. First, he called her dad before the big moment to ask for his permission to marry her (so sweet!). Then, he assembled a band of family and friends at Chicago's Studio BE to sing Mr. Big's "To Be With You," an inside joke for the couple because they sang it as a duet on one of their first dates. To get here there, he also enlisted one of Jackie's friends to lure her to the studio under the guise of a quick errand before a manicure. Of course they arrive to a dark room and sit down to witness a surprise performance by Jason and a growing band. As is, this proposal is already pretty amazing.
But then, Aaron Paul himself appears on the screen to address Jackie, one of his biggest fans, taking this noteworthy proposal to epic proportions. Paul starts with a casual "Hi, Jackie, I'm Aaron," at which point Jackie begins to freak out (as she should!). He continues:
"Hey, I just wanted to send you a message on behalf of a good friend Jason—I think you know him—who I understand has a very important question to ask you."

The screen goes blank, and Jason asks Jackie to marry him. But not without one last surprise: Paul pops back on the screen and both cracks a joke and offers his congratulations.
"Ohhhh, I hope you said yes," he says. "Good luck to you too, couldn't be happier for you."
What made Paul's presence in the proposal even more magical is that he's a lovesick newlywed himself. Paul married longtime girlfriend Lauren Parsekian this past May and never holds back his affection for her. He and his "pretty bird," as he calls his wife, constantly Instagram photos and videos about how much they love one another (he's so obsessed with his wife that BuzzFeed compiled an enitre list about how their love is superior to everything else in the world). "I married my best friend on Sunday and I can't stop staring at her. Love you pretty," Paul wrote on his wedding day. Shortly after he posted a picture of his bride and said, "I found my path to happiness. Find yours."
And we can't forget this video Paul posted where he screams to his wife "Hey babe!" multiple times before coyly concluding, "I like you."
We have to say, the romantics out there have been really stepping up their engagement game lately. Among a proposal at a Justin Timberlake concert, a BuzzFeed engagement, a pug proposal, and a Pinterest-planned engagement and wedding , it's hard not to be in awe of these relationship masterminds. Congrats to the happy (and, yes, extremely lucky) couple! Oh, and one more thing: "Yeah B*$!"
