Since the first episode aired in September 2011, Revenge fans have waited for Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) and Daniel Grayson's (Josh Bowman) ultra-glamorous wedding with bated breath. Their high-society Hamptons nuptials wasn't the only high-octane climax we anticipated since we were first introduced to Emily and her vendetta: The big day—a culmination of a rocky two-year courtship, intense double-life fueled by countless lies, and many, many gunshots—was supposed to be the thrilling and oh-so-satisfying finale to Emily's journey to clear her father's name. Alas, like any good ABC drama, things didn't go exactly as planned in last night's mid-season finale (don't worry, we won't spoil anything). The one thing, though, that did meet our expectations was Emily's gorgeous wedding dress.

Last week we got a preview of Emily's bridal beauty during a wedding photo shoot with Daniel for Voulez magazine—Ems donned a fantasy-filled Monique Lhuillier ball gown on an over-the-top, flower-adorned swing (see, above).
Her actual wedding dress took a much more understated, romantic tone. Jill Ohannesson, the show's costume designer, crafted an ethereal strapless Alençon lace column dress with an asymmetrical tulle overskirt that reminded us of a few particularly romantic pieces from Monique Lhuillier's and Reem Acra's Spring 2014 collections.

Ohannesson told E! News in October of the dress:
"I actually designed the dress because they came to me and basically said, 'Here's what we need this dress to do, Jill. We need for her to be able to fall off the boat and when she falls we want to dress to flow out,'" Ohannesson said. "And they wanted to be able to hide something underneath the skirt of the dress."

Despite the action-packed plot points, Emily always dresses to impress, and her wedding dress was no exception! It should come as no surprise, then, that her arch-nemesis-turned-mother-in-law Victoria Grayson, a.k.a. Queen of the Hamptons, also wore a gown that left us gawking. Like she did for her dreaded second wedding to Daniel's father Conrad, Victoria rocked a mermaid-style Vera Wang confection. Unlike the gray gown with an illusion neckline, this time, Victoria opted for a burgundy, one-shoulder gown from Wang's Spring 2013 collection. And let us not forget Daniel's sister Charlotte, who killed it in a stunningly sleek black cutout dress and gold fringe bangle.
While all eyes were surely on the leading ladies' dresses of choice, we couldn't help but notice the newly minted Mr. and Mrs. Grayson's enormous wedding cake as well. Crafted by Daniel's ex girlfriend (who, conveniently popped back into his life right before the wedding thanks to Victoria and Charlotte), this six-tier wonder, featuring floral toppers and luxe ivory lace and pearl-like embellishments is a sight to see.
