Victoria Beckham's Adorable Reason for Saving Her Wedding Dress!

Victoria Beckham certainly has an enviable wardrobe. Not only is soccer star David Beckham's wife and former Spice Girl a major trendsetter, she's also a critically-acclaimed fashion designer. And while trends come and go, there's one piece of clothing in Posh's possession that'll forever remain more valuable than the rest: Her wedding dress!

Recently, the pop-singer-turned-style-icon purged her closet to raise money Mothers2Mothers, a charitable organization. She admitted during the event, though, that she can't bear to part with her iconic Vera Wang wedding dress. The reason the mother of four had to keep it? She's saving it for her daughter, Harper. Cue a major awwww.

Her wedding dress isn't the only sentimental piece she held on to. She also kept the dress she wore when she first went on a date with David, to whom she's been married for 15 years!

"I kept my wedding dress," she told British publication Mirror. "I couldn't give away the dress I first wore when I went out with David. It was a little high-street suede mini-dress so I've kept that for her."

This isn't the first recent resurgence of her wedding wears. Just last November, Victoria's famed "East of Paris" gold and diamond tiara went on auction in London for an estimated $28,963 to $40,227.

It's no wonder Victoria wants to save her wedding dress for little Harper — her look was so memorable that items from that not have not only gone on auction, but her big-day gown also landed a spot in our list of the most iconic wedding dresses of all time.

How to Get Perfect Legs for Your Honeymoon

Leg Treatments Before Honeymoon

A gown may cover your legs with yards of tulle or organza—but those weeks of pre-wedding squats and lunges aren't for naught. As soon as you step off the plane for your honeymoon, it's time to show them off. Here's how to get smooth, glowing legs for every moment t— and every Insta pic—of your getaway.

Step 1: Prep
Use a gentle body scrub before lathering up with shaving cream to remove dirt, residue, and dead skin cells from follicles, making hair way easier to remove and reducing razor burn. We love Molton Brown's warming body scrub ($48, available at Amazon) with eucalyptus and menthol.

Step 2: Get smooth
Throw out that months-old disposable razor you've been recycling in favor of a fresh blade. Try a razor with moisturizing lotion built in, like Venus + Olay ($9.47, available at Walmart). Waxers, book your appointment for a few days before the honeymoon, so any lingering redness has time to dissipate before you take off.

Step 3: Moisturize
To keep dry skin and irritation at bay, slather on a body cream (they're heavier than lotions) right after you get out of the shower to maximize absorption. Try L'Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream ($42, available at Amazon).

Step 4: Bronze
We're all for embracing the pale, but if you want a little color for your honeymoon, skip the dangerous tanning beds and fake it with self-tanner. If you're a newbie, go for a gradual formula, like L'Oreal Sublime Glow ($9.50, available at Amazon), which builds color over time. (Make sure to do a trial run a few weeks before your wedding!) If you're a veteran, try a spray-on formula like St. Tropez Self-Tan Bronzing Spray ($35, available at Amazon), which makes legs look extra-radiant in those beach photos.

Step 5: Protect
Don't ruin all your hard work with a painful, peeling sunburn. You should already be applying an SPF 30 or higher sunscreen daily anyway, but be extra vigilant on your honeymoon when you're out and about all day, often in direct sun. We love Neutrogena Wet Skin ($9, available at Amazon), which can go on immediately after you get out of the pool (or ocean).

The Other Man: Should You Keep Your Opposite Sex Friendships After Marriage?

We've got good news: Just because you've said "I do" doesn't mean you have to chuck your friendships with the opposite sex. In fact, some experts believe keeping them after your wedding day will only enrich the relationship you have with the number one man in your life.

"I can tell you that the wives with the highest marital satisfaction have a tight circle of wild and warm friends — men and women — that feed the many arteries of their lives," says Iris Krasnow, relationship expert and author of Sex After: Women Share How Intimacy Changes As Life Changes. "If your fiancé tells you that you must ditch your platonic friendships with the opposite sex, that is a fire-red flag about the trust and jealousy issues that will develop in your marriage."

Opposite-sex, platonic relationships can be, according to Krasnow, "a sexy pick-me-up without the complications of sex and adultery. Women who love the company of men shouldn't have to eliminate male friends from their lives; these extra-marital males who always think we're smart and beautiful — because because they don't live with us! — are actually a relief for any smart husband. Because these benign boyfriends that offer insights and advice from a masculine perspective, it means less work for the man you're married to."

See More: Are You With The Man You're Going to Marry?

But now that you know you can keep the "other" men in your life, there are a few other things to keep in mind:

Nurture a friendship with your husband, too.
Make sure you aren't telling other men things you can't tell him, or relying on them for the emotional support your husband should be providing.

Have strong same-sex friendships.
While it's totally cool to have a go-to guy friend, he shouldn't be the only friend you keep on speed dial.

Make sure your husband knows all your male friends.
Additionally, he should be comfortable with the level of intimacy and attention you give your guy friends.

A Registry Trend We're Loving: Windowpane Prints

Windowpane Print Registry Trend

Just as art imitates life, interior trends often imitate the runways (and vice-versa). For their SS13 show, Chanel (among others) brought back to life the classic windowpane print, an upgraded grid pattern, which is both modern and classic.

A few seasons later and there is still no shortage of this minimalist print on the runways, and (as so often happens) it's trickled its way into our homes. For the stylish bride who wants a subtle nod to the trend, we've got some gorgeous windowpane print registry items that will appease you and your fiancé (thanks to its menswear inspired roots).

If you're inclined to keep this trend on the more traditional end of the spectrum, this luxe lambswool throw or canvas pillow cover mix modernity with registry classics in a super subtle way. For a little twist on this pretty pattern, check out this hot salmon tea towel that is sure to add color and pop to the rest of your kitchen. We also love this planter from Leif — it feels beautifully earthenware, but upgraded.

For the ultra chic bride who envisions her home full of negative space and Scandanavian design, these tall drinking glasses from Kate Spade Saturday feel modern and crisp! Need a fruit bowl? We found one that feels organic (it's made of cotton) and sophisticated.

Lastly, if you're feeling especially bold try wallpapering a statement wall with this wallpaper from Ferm Living. Maybe you don't associate wallpaper with registry, but you can register for just about anything these days!

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis Reveal Daughter's Name! Plus, They Share a Baby Photo (Kind Of)

We didn't have to wait long to find out Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis's daughter's name! Despite speculation that they'd name the baby Finn in honor of Kutcher's mother, the new parents went an entirely different, albeit equally as unconventional, route. Kutcher confirmed the little one's name is Wyatt Isabelle Kutcher via his website last night according to People.

"Mila and I would like to welcome Wyatt Isabelle Kutcher to the world," Kutcher wrote. "May your life be filled with wonder, love, laughter, health, happiness, curiosity, and privacy."

He even shared a photo of newborn Wyatt, but with a catch. The clever (and privacy-loving) new dad posted eight photos — two of which are dogs. "Can you guess which one is ours, or does it really matter? All babies are cute," he asked fans.

He elaborated on Facebook, writing, "Here's your baby photo. Well, one of them is. Now can the helicopter please stop hovering over our house, there is a baby sleeping inside! And she's super cute."

See More: Our Favorite Celebrity Engagement Rings — Do You Think Mila's Made the List?

If you ask us, our best guess is that Wyatt is either baby one or five, although it's admittedly quite hard to say — plus, Ashton's right! All of the babies are super cute.

We have yet to hear anything for new mom Mila. In July, the then-pregnant star told W magazine that she was "eager to scale back" after becoming a mother. "I have never wanted to be the person who only has business on her mind," Mila said. "To me, this job has always been a hobby that turned into a great profession, but I don't eat and breathe acting. I'm sure Meryl Streep has a very different point of view. But I'm excited about being a full-time mom."

The Marriage Effect: 6 Things That Change After You Say "I Do"

Marriage Effect

Photo: Cathy Crawford

Mike and I got married in a hurry — as much of a hurry as a couple who've been together for six years can. In June, we decided that we were going to do it in September with a small ceremony at my parents' house. We picked out flowers, called a rabbi, and crammed 30 people onto folding chairs in the dining room. I was 28 and wearing my mother's wedding dress. It was about as low-key as it could be without us going straight to city hall.

And we were as relaxed about the future as we were about the ceremony. Neither of us thought that getting married would change our relationship. It turned out we were wildly, hilariously wrong. Here are just a few ways that the challenge of marriage turned out to be different (and better) than going steady.

1. You address each other differently.
It took be about three seconds into the ceremony to know that things were going to change. For starters, our rabbi (also a yoga teacher) called us husband and wife, and the words were immediately and acutely electric, funny at first and then wonderfully serious. We started saying them all the time, to waiters and flight attendants and friends, working them into every conversation. I suppose as a writer (ahem), I shouldn't have been surprised by the power of words, but these started to feel enormous and weighty, as if our whole bodies had been dipped in gold instead of just our rings. I hadn't thought anything could feel more serious and permanent than when we moved in together and combined our book collections, but being married made everything that had come before feel like a dress rehearsal.

2. You work differently.
One of the most satisfying shifts in changing from an established couple to a married one is the feeling that everything we do is for both of us. When I sold my first novel, Mike and I both cried. It had been a long time coming; there were four previous novels, all rejected, and Mike had been there for all of them. The first thing I said to him after the offer came in was that we now had the money to renovate our basement to be his graphic-design studio. This made both of us cry even harder. It was my success, sure, but more than that, it was ours. I may have written all the words, but he had given me the space I needed to write them. He'd also cleaned the house often and made dinner and believed that it was going to happen. And when it did, it was our triumph together.

3. You fight differently.
In each of my previous relationships, all I'd needed as an itchy trigger finger and then it was done — poof, over — usually around the six-month mark. When Mike and I fought before we were married, getting out was always an option. We did break up once, after about a year. It lasted a month, only because I was out of the country. If I'd been home, it would've been three days; if we'd already been married, it wouldn't have even been a fight. Of course marriages can end, but no capriciously. Being married means that there are structures to be dismantled, paperwork to be filled out. One needs more than a passing fancy, more than one bad mood. Marriage means sticking it out, knowing that there will be storms but that the boat is sturdy.

4. You look at the world differently.
Security is not a sexy word. No one goes to brunch with her girlfriends and coos about how steady she feels, her toes curling under the table. But for me, it's the best feeling in the world. I was lucky to have a supportive family; my parents, my brother, and I always felt like a unit, as solid as a house of bricks. That's what being married feels like: a new house, just as solid, right next door. And if confidence in what we have is sexy, then we're the hottest couple for miles around.

5. The world looks at you differently.
For some people, being married doesn't substantially change things. But to me, it makes things different because it's a highly public act of faith, hope, and optimism. Most of the time, we keep our hopes and dreams tucked safely out of sight, but marriage puts them on display, like so many wedding cakes in a bakery window. And that mere act turns the relationship into something that others — your friends, your family — have a stake in. You have a standard to live up to for the rest of your lives, but you've also got all these other people cheering you on and helping you hit the mark.

6. Time moves differently.
It's been six years now — the same amount of time that we were together before we got married. I brought this up to Mike the other day and asked him which he thought felt longer. He said the first six years, and I agree. The time it took for us to get from being strangers working the same office to being married felt like a hundred lifetimes, each with multiple possible outcomes, like a Choose Your Own Adventure book. Being together — married, a team — has made the last six feel like a blink.

President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy's 61st wedding anniversary was on September 12, but today, we got a look at some original negatives from their iconic wedding day that are set to go on auction this month.

Pictures and stories from their wedding at St. Mary's Church in Newport, Rhode Island, have been in circulation since that historic day, when socialite Jackie (née Bouvier) married the dashing young Massachusetts senator. Even before the Presidency, their union was such a buzzed-about event that Life magazine sent a photographer to capture the day.

The new photos, though, are a collection of most likely unpublished negatives that were snapped by a separate photographer, in case something happened to the primary images. "The images were taken by a freelance photographer, Arthur Borges, of Fall River, MA who had been asked to be a 'back-up' photographer for the wedding," says Bobby Livingston, Exec VP at RR Auction, the house that is auctioning the negatives. "They were discovered by family members in his darkroom after his passing in 1993."

Borges' photos offer a different angle of the entire bridal party (which looks like it included a dog!), their emergence from the church, and their cake-cutting. We love how the candid nature of the photos offer a more natural look at what's become a seminal day in wedding history.

The future President and First Lady's wedding was very much the social event of the season — they had an estimated 700 guests at the ceremony and 1,200 at the reception. As Life put it, "Their wedding turned out to be the most impressive the old society stronghold had seen in 30 years."

If the wedding went off without a hitch, Jackie's dress wasn't so much of a success, at least in her eyes. The famous gown was far from what she would have chosen, according to Time. "She had wanted a simple dress with sleek, straight lines, but bowed to family pressure to wear something more traditional, despite thinking it looked like a lampshade," the magazine states, citing the book What Jackie Taught Us.

Whether or not hindsight taught her that the classic look was a great choice, we think it holds up as an example of gorgeous 1950's fashion!

Paris Fashion Week Runway Looks for Spring Brides

The shows at Paris Fashion Week just wrapped, and we're bringing you our top five looks from the Spring/Summer 2015 collections to inspire your own wedding-day style. From the powerful confidence of Elie Saab's gown to the most delicate lace to Giambattista Valli's masterful cascading embroidery, the Parisian runways were full of designs to inspire your bridal style.

Alessandro Dell'Acqua: Dell'Acqua's third collection for Rochas, the French house known for ladylike dressing, played with beautiful transparency, texture, and paired graceful fabrics with various types of lace. We love this short mod dress with transparent mid-length skirt for the wedding after party.

Giambattista Valli: This collection focused on streamlined shapes (a contrast to the feats of construction he shown in the past) pared down to focus on the body, and thereby, the woman. This beautiful soft-white column features cascading floral embroidery (similar to the embroidery of Amal Alamuddin's pre-ceremony dress from Valli's Fall 2014 haute couture collection — love!), which seems destined for a springtime garden celebration.

Valentino: Dreaming of a seaside wedding on the French Riviera? Step beyond anything you've seen on Pinterest and take a minute to take in the delicate air of this Valentino beauty. The nude organza gown, with its plunging neckline and whisper thin fabric, is simultaneously sexy and refined; perfect for an evening ceremony on the Cote d'Azur.

Elie Saab: Bridal-world favorite Elie Saab never fails to impress, and this spring the designer is back with his fail-proof gowns and romantic silhouette-defining embroideries. This lace dress is entirely bridal, with a bold spirit — a reimagined take on the Elie Saab dress worn by Brides cover girl Olivia Palermo.

Ellery: Australian-born and Central St. Martins educated, designer Kym Ellery's collection for Ellery once again included eveningwear with a twist. We loved the final look of her show, this ultra-chic pant look, paired with a strapless top of cloudlike organza; the fluid shape of the top renders a bouquet entirely optional.

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin's wedding last weekend at the Aman Canal Grande in Venice, Italy was not only extremely elegant but also a full-on family affair. The high-profile newlyweds asked family-friend Nora Sagal to sing during the ceremony and for their first dance, they had four speakers at the reception, one of which, was Clooney's father, Nick, a journalist and former TV news anchor.

What makes his speech even more special — besides he and his beloved son's close relationship — is the fact that the younger Clooney has referred to his parents loving marriage many times as a model and hope for his a lasting relationship of his own one day. So it's no wonder that his dad's words meant a lot to the groom, and, thanks to People, we have excerpts from the heartwarming speech

First, the elder Clooney listed all of the amazing things about that evening: "The loveliest, most intriguing city on the planet. CHECK. A glittering assembly of accomplished people. CHECK. A beautiful bride. CHECK. A nervous groom. CHECK."

"We are deep in the age of irony. ... We cherish our guilty pleasure of skepticism," Clooney continued. "Then here comes George, the crown prince of irony, getting down on one basketball-battered knee and asking the savvy Amal to marry him. And if you think that's crazy, Amal said 'YES!' "

"In their tidal wave of generosity," the beaming father went on, "Amal and George present us with one more gift. Hope. No, it's more than hope. Hope is too ephemeral. ... It is belief that in this place and at this moment, love is alive and well."

How sweet! From Clooney and Alamuddin's romance it's clear to see that love really is alive and well.

Do You Really Need a Wedding Program?

$
0
0

Some things in your wedding are absolutely necessary: A dress (be it traditionally white or a trendy, colorful frock of your choosing), a ceremony with some sort of vows, and a party to celebrate after. What you do from there, is up to you. Many couples choose to stick to tradition by having a bridal party, a cake, and printed invitations. But some customary big-day items may feel excessive. One prime example? Ceremony programs. Here, why you do or don't need a lineup of events to come.

Do I really need a program at my wedding ceremony?
Of course not. What you choose to have your wedding is completely up to you. Sure, a program helps punctuate the course of events, and may be very helpful if you're holding a lengthy, traditional ceremony like a Catholic one, for example. If you want to give credit to vendors or highlight any important people in both of your lives like family members, a friend who introduced you two, etc, this is also the place to do it. Then again, if you want a program solely to announce the key players in your big day, you can do just the same on your wedding website. You can also map out a general plan for the ceremony on your site, too, if you want. Again, the choice is completely up to you! No one will miss the program if you choose not to have one, but if you're throwing a more formal wedding, it's a nice added touch. Regardless it won't make or break your big day.

Shimmery lips, sleek chignons, and the ever-popular braid were some of our favorite red-carpet looks this week. Here, a few you'll love to try for your wedding day.

Diane Kruger at The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Hollywood Costume Opening Party: Is there a look that Kruger can't effortlessly pull off? Shimmery pink lipstick and silver eye shadow looks clean and classic when worn with easy, undone hair and full, groomed brows. Keep your cheeks subtle — just a bit of cream blush will do the trick — to prevent a sparkle overload.

Selena Gomez at the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2015 Runway Show: Gomez's halo braid shows us plaits aren't just for summer brides. In fact, they're the new bridal classic: versatile, flattering, and able to last all day. Like Gomez, it doesn't matter if you get a few stray wisps now and then — this look isn't meant to be absolutely perfect. Pair braids with sexy, glowing makeup (cream bronzer, nude lipstick, and tons of lashes) and you're finished!

Old new borrowed blue ideas new

It's one of the most well-known wedding traditions out there: A bride must wear something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue on her wedding day for good luck! The trope comes from an English rhyme dated to 1898, which also adds that a bride should also have a sixpence in her shoe. These days, and in the U.S., where sixpence isn't a currency, brides have gotten very creative with incorporating these four things into their ensembles! Though it's by no means required, and non-superstitious ladies may scoff at it, it's a fun way to personalize a wedding dress, veil, or shoes. We asked our Facebook followers to show us pictures of how they made use of this fun tradition, and here are our four favorites!

1. Something old: Beading can make a dress look extra glamorous, but it can also get pricey. Bride Morgan Moo Brink ingeniously sewed pearls from her mother's wedding dress into the detail on her own to get an extra bit of detailing and honor her mother. We love this something old a whole lot.

2. Something new: This is probably the easiest part of the tradition to work in. After all, what bride doesn't want to purchase a brand-new accessory or gown for her big day? Bride Katrina Rapo's statement earrings are totally pretty and trendy, and they'll likely become a favorite part of her jewelry collection.

3. Something borrowed: Imitation is the highest form of flattery. Bride Amanda Sanchez's sister's veil was so pretty that she just had to wear it for her own wedding. "My something borrowed was the veil my sister used at her wedding," she says. "It was cathedral length and stunning!" We're sure her sister was more than flattered.

4. Something blue: Bride Lauren Cabrera was probably anything but blue while wearing her adorable "Mrs." robe while getting ready for her wedding. The best part? She can slip it on anytime she wants, now that she's married!

You'll Never Guess Why Jennifer Garner Feel Like She's Cheating on Husband Ben Affleck

Amen, Jen! During an appearance on Live with Kelly & Michael yesterday, Jennifer Garner dished about husband Ben Affleck's Batman-ready physique. In a word: It's so hot, she feels like she's cheating on her husband ... with her husband.

Why, you may ask? Well, Affleck's been hard at work at the gym prepping for his roles as the steamy but steely Nick Dunne in Gone Girl, and of course, as Gotham's hero in Zack Snyder's sequel to Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

See more: Four Things Couples Can Learn from Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's Marriage

Hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan picked Jen's brain about Ben in the Batman costume. "Have you seen him in costume?" Strahan asked. "Yeah, lots!" Garner replied, explaining that the Batsuit off requires an entire team. "If we we're in the heat of passion, I would be like, 'Um, let me get a chainsaw.'"

Then, Ripa cut right to the good stuff: "Does he look just as ripped underneath the costume?" the morning show host asked Mrs. Affleck, since a photo was released by the studio not too long ago of a very chiseled Ben Affleck as Batman in his Batsuit.

"You know, he has put on 30 pounds of muscle and he's eight percent body fat," Garner said of her hubby's new-found figure. "He looks pretty good. It's a little bit like, 'Whoa! Who are you?' It feels like I'm having an affair. But I don't mind, I'm not complaining! It's fine."

We're sure it is! Affleck and Garner already have one of the cutest, strongest, and longest going marriages in Hollywood, so we're sure this added tone only strengthens their relationship even more!

Can I Buy My Girls Their Bridesmaids' Dresses?

$
0
0

Purchasing a bridesmaid dress almost always becomes a point of contention in the wedding planning process. They can get pricey, and while letting your bridesmaids pick the fit and fabric of her choosing is all the rage at the moment, the bride is still ultimately in charge of the bridal party's wardrobe. Whether the dress you like is too expensive for some of your girls, or the styles they want don't fit with your vision, it's always some sort of compromise. But, what if, you want to be extra generous and buy the gowns for your girls? Our etiquette experts weigh in on this sweet gesture.

I'm throwing a small wedding with three of my closest friends as bridesmaids. Two of my girls are well off, while one isn't. I would like to purchase their bridesmaid dresses for them, but is that inappropriate?
Of course it isn't inappropriate! You're bridesmaids' financial situations aside, if you're able and willing to buy all of their dresses (as opposed to just the one who can't afford it), it's a really lovely gesture. Just make sure when you're about to pull out your credit card to let them know that this is a gift rather than saying something like "I've got it." From a more cynical point of view, too, if you're buying the dresses as the gift you have more of a right to make style calls. Regardless, you should take into account their feelings, and we're sure they'll be very grateful for your generosity.

Two-tone dresses are always classic, thus this long-sleeve number in the same timeless color palette is equally as amazing as Meester's Balmain piece. A bonus? It can be given even more flair with fun hair, makeup, and accessories and is pared-down enough to be worn for years to come.

Gold Foil Wedding Invitations Vera Wang for Crane

Brides are clamoring for metallics in everything from wedding dresses and reception details to cakes and registry items. So it's no surprise that stationers are offering tons of gorgeous invitation suites, all complete with gold foil details.

The best part about this trendy style is that it solves the classic conundrum couples often find themselves in: the bride-to-be favors soft, romantic styles, while her groom prefers to pick details that feel modern and masculine. But since gold foil wedding invitations offer the perfect balance of fresh and romantic, you can have stationery that feels traditional with just a hint of edge.

And when it comes to selecting your gold foil wedding invitations, you have the option of going with a bold, statement-making piece of stationery or selecting something more understated featuring the smallest hint of metallic details. Consider something ultra-glam, like Bella Figura's "Fugue" letterpress suit, which is practically dripping in gold foil details, for a formal affair. If you prefer the look of a more traditional invitation, Foiled Invitations' "Coronet" suite uses delicate gold accents to upgrade the classic stationery. Romantic brides will surely love floral details from Ashley Buzzy Lettering + Press or Smitten on Paper.

No matter which gold foil wedding invitation you ultimately select, it will set the tone for an unforgettable celebration.

When Is It Appropriate to Leave a Wedding Reception?

Back in the day, wedding receptions were a clean and contained four-hours long. Now, that's no longer the case. While the bride and groom used to exit before the guests, they now choose to stay and party all night long. With after parties en vogue, a wedding, from ceremony-through-reception, ends up being a full day and night commitment — which can be a lot for some guests! Here, our etiquette experts weigh in on the proper time to arrive at a ceremony or reception, and when it's acceptable to leave.

Can I skip the ceremony and only attend the reception?
Unless you absolutely have to skip the ceremony, you should try not to. It sends the message to the bride and groom that you don't really care about their momentous commitment, but are willing to spend their money and party. Of course, if you have a reasonable excuse, just be sure to tell the bride and groom and to congratulate them once you arrive.

When is it appropriate to leave a wedding reception?
As we mentioned, these days, wedding receptions and their subsequent after parties can go on until the wee hours of the night. For elderly guests, or friends who just aren't good at staying out late, this can be a daunting task. While tradition calls for guests to wait until the bride and groom leave the reception, this is no longer the case — especially since the newlyweds are now the ones closing out the party! As long as you stay until they cut the cake, you're fine. Be sure, though, to thank the bride, groom, and their respective families for a great time!

The wedding came quite quickly as Brendon proposed to Tee just one week prior at a hair salon in Colorado. He is clearly a big fan of social media as he took toTwitter with a picture of himself on bended knee popping the question.

Fall Wedding Bouquet Inspiration

If you're tying the knot this fall, it's time to seriously consider your bridal bouquet. One of the easiest ways to give your autumn nuptials a burst of seasonal flair is to select a bundle of blooms filled with the colors and style of fall. With vibrant tones like deep red, burnt orange, and muted yellow just about everywhere, it's hard not to feel inspired to select a seasonally-appropriate bouquet.

To get started, decide whether you want to use in-season blossoms or stick with your favorite flowers in a fall-inspired color palette. Consider fall-blooming flowers like mums, astilbe, and asters for your bouquet or use accents like wheat, red grasses, berries, and leaves with more classic arrangements.

While the idea of a fall wedding is nearly synonymous with a rustic-themed bash, that doesn't have to be the case! If you love the idea of an elegant fall affair, you can work with your florist to create a bouquet with autumnal details that still meets your specific wedding aesthetic. The key is to use fall-themed details smart and sparingly, so you evoke just a hint of the season without going overboard. But if you do love the idea of a rustic-chic wedding, then play up the style with a bouquet filled with colorful seasonal flowers.

To help you create your own version of a fall wedding bouquet, we pulled together tons of our favorite seasonal options — click the link below to check them out.
