Pippa Middleton Get the Look

Her bridesmaid dress at the royal wedding in 2011 nearly garnered more attention than the Duchess's wedding dress itself, so it's safe to say Pippa Middleton knows a thing or two about bridal wear. In fact, Kate's sister looked wedding-ready at the British 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards on Tuesday night in London in a dress straight off of BOSS's Fall 2014 runway. The shimmery pink palliate number is perfect for a pre-wedding event like your rehearsal dinner, or it could even work well for a big-day look. After all, the blush hue, high neck, and glistening exterior are all bridal-gown musts.

Want to look like a royal on your big day? Here's how to channel Pippa.

Jenny Packham: Jenny Packham must be in the equation if we're talking about the Middleton's. One of Kate's favorite designers, this floor-length, beaded sheath is like the longer version of Pippa's blush ensemble. It features similarly shiny embellishments, a modest high-neck, and a cinched waistline.

Mira Zwillinger: Although it's short sleeve and only features a sparkly bodice, this Mira Zwillinger-twosome offers geometric sequins and beading like Pippa's, creating a modern-meets-elegant finished look.

Pronovias: Again, the bling on this Pronovias only belongs to the bodice, but it's similarly striped to Pippa's. Plus, how gorgeous is this take on the high-neckline and defined waistline?

4 Things Every Bride Can Learn from This Early Fall Rhode Island Wedding

In college, when a room opened up in her guy friends' off-campus house, Corie couldn't believe someone she didn't know was moving in. But she gave the new guy a chance and, after meeting Ryan the day he arrived, the two started dating almost immediately! Years later, on July 1, 2012, after a tour of Napa Valley's Chateau Montelena during a friend's wedding, Corie was feeding the vineyard's ducks when she turned around to find Ryan down on one knee. "Looking back," says Corie, "Ryan probably didn't love waiting on those ducks!"

For their October 12, 2013 wedding, the couple decided to head back to Rhode Island's Block Island, the beach town where Corie worked during college summers and where Ryan and his family have vacationed for years. "We love the water but we didn't want the traditional beach wedding," Corie says. "No shells or nets, please!" Rather than go all-out nautical, they decided on the red-roofed Spring House Hotel, with Victorian architecture and beautiful island views, and chose a navy and white palette to keep with their theme.

Check out Kitty Maer Photography's images from this preppy fall bash below.

Take advantage of your talents
As the Public Relations manager at Henri Bendel, Corie is no stranger to throwing over-the-top parties. So she enlisted Danielle Dziok, the venue's day-of coordinator, but tackled the majority of the wedding planning on her own, ordering monkey knots from Mystic Knotwork and working with Mimosa Digital to customize invitations, table numbers, and escort cards with navy stripes for a tasteful nautical look.

It's okay to be a control freak — even during the ceremony! The glass for the traditional Jewish breaking of the glass was supposed to be hidden in the flowerbed next to the chuppah, but when Corie got down the aisle, she panicked. "I looked behind the groomsmen, and it wasn't there!" she says. Luckily, the justice of the peace caught on and passed a message down the line of groomsmen, sending Corie's brother back inside to get the glass and save the day. The lesson: When you know something is wrong (even in the midst of your I do's), don't be afraid to speak up — but still keep your cool.

Work with your dress
While she loved her Rosa Clará fit-and-flare gown (the third dress she tried on!) from the start, this fashionista knew she had to make it her own. She worked with Jaehee Bridal Atelier to add a slight sweetheart neckline to the strapless dress and created a custom horsehair belt with Robrode lace. "The end result was very soft and romantic," she says.

Do double-duty with your DIY projects
Corie filled wooden trays with sand (fresh from Block Island, of course!) and used them to hold escort cards at the reception. After the striped cards were all taken up by guests, match books customized with couple's wedding date, names, and two Adirondack chairs were displayed inside the three vintage trays.

One very famous wedding dress is about to make its way back to two deserving young men! On September 15, Princess Diana's iconic white gown will be transferred to her sons, Prince William and Harry, in honor of the latter royal's 30th birthday.

According to the New York Daily News, Princess Diana's brother, Earl Spencer, has kept her David and Elizabeth Emanuel dress from her wedding to Prince Charles since her death in 1997. But, as stipulated in her will, the dress, along with other personal items from the former royal, was to be passed on to her sons when Harry turned 30. The two princes will also inherit their mother's diamond tiaras, family paintings, letters, home movies, and the original score and lyrics to the special version of "Candle in the Wind" that Elton John wrote in honor of the late princess.

Diana's dress, an incredible silk-and-taffeta lace gown, was adorned with thousands of pearls and included a statement-making 25-foot train. But her wedding day wasn't the only time the public got a glimpse the dress: According to Today, the gown is displayed twice a year at the family's Althorp estate in Northampton, England as part of the exhibit, "Diana: A Celebration."

But now the famed ivory wedding dress will be returned to her two sons, who have famously cherished mementos of their mother since her untimely passing. Most recently, Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton with his mom's own sapphire-and-diamond engagement ring.

Fashion Emergency! How to Solve (or Avoid) Wedding Dress Disasters

There is so much beauty in a wedding dress, but it, like everything else, can get a little dirty on the big day. Anything can go wrong with clothes — zippers stick, trains get stepped on, veils blow away, dresses get spotted and shrink mysteriously. Any of these fashion emergencies can seem like the end of the world, but fear not! You can easily avoid them or, at the very least, do some quick damage control if need be. We consulted some etiquette expert answers to wedding dress emergencies so you can shine on without a care in the world.

What should I do about a rip or tear in my dress?
Bring safety pins, needle, thread, tape, and glue in your wedding day emergency kit to the ceremony site for last-minute repairs. Hold the bridal bouquet in a position that hides a spot or tear if there's still a little damage showing, if possible.

I'm worried that a Tide to Go pen or something like that will seriously damage my wedding dress. How can I find out other ways to do emergency stain removal?
Ask your bridal salon in advance fro emergency cleaning tips. The consultant there should be able to give you suggestions for your particular fabric when you buy the gown. Also, if you have a wedding planner, this is their jam! Planners are used to spills and stains and should be well-versed in what to use to remove them, no matter the fabric.

Is there such a thing as "practicing" wearing a wedding dress? I'm not used to such a big skirt or train and I can totally see myself tripping over it or ripping it.
Absolutely! Try on your wedding clothes one week before the date and practice standing, rising, walking, and sitting in them. Most women aren't used to walking in a long dress or negotiating a train and veil, after all. Also, show your honor attendant how to arrange your train so that it doesn't get wrinkled as you stand at the altar, and so that your father or groom won't trip over it and rip it. Be sure she knows how to bustle your train, too, so you can maneuver at the reception.

Planning a wedding is a lot more difficult than most brides think. After all, this is likely your first time planning such a large scale event, so juggling several different vendors, managing your budget and timeline, and keeping track of the pesky organizational details can be more difficult than you ever imagined. Not to mention you likely have other priorities (like jobs or family) that you can't put on hold to become a full-time wedding maven.

Beach Honeymoons in the US

Most couple's dream of a relaxing, post-wedding retreat filled with lots of sun, sand, and great cocktails. Can you blame them? After the stress of wedding planning, you and your new husband deserve a luxe escape filled with endless white sands and clear water to romp around in. But a beach honeymoon doesn't have to break the bank, either! We found incredible U.S. beach retreats that you can reach without ever having to present your passport!

If you want major beach time, head to the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Soft white sands? Check. Turquoise waters as far as the eye can see? Check. Potent cocktails made with local rum? Check, check, and check. This may be a U.S. territory (bring your dollar bills, y'all), but its spirit is Caribbean through and through.

Take your pick of three isles: St. Thomas, a cruise-ship hub with killer duty-free shopping; laid-back St. Croix, with a rum distillery dating back to 1760; and sleepy St. John, seen above, most of which is a national park. Explore its hiking trails and white-sand beaches from the 96-room Westin St. John (doubles from $299, Westin Resort St. John), which just underwent a facelift, or Caneel Bay (doubles from $459, Caneel Bay), the legendary romantic resort founded by Laurence Rockefeller, which just opened two new restaurants. Who says you need a passport to travel to paradise?

If you want to island hop, try the Florida Keys.
Just 50 miles from Miami, many of these coral islands are linked by the 127-mile Overseas Highway, so you don't even need a boat to hit isles like Marathon and Islamorada — plus tons of islets you've never heard of along the way. (You might, however, want to charter a skipper to take full advantage of the area's killer fishing.)

Everyone eventually ends up on the southernmost outpost of Key West, a party spot with a quirky artist's soul and legendary sunsets. Do it up on bar-dotted Duval Street, then retreat to Casa Marina (doubles from $219, Casa Marina), a hushed resort with an 1,100-foot-long stand. The next day, if you overdid it on the mojitos, put on your sunglasses, toss a towel on your beach chaise, and let the staff ply you with popsicles and frozen cucumbers — great for depuffing partied-out eyes.

Want to add a little excitement to your beach honeymoon? Consider hitting the waves at one these surprising surf spots!

Seaside, Oregon: Pacific Northwest surfers go nuts for the breaks off this beach town, just two hours outside Portland. Cleanline Surf offers lessons every Saturday.

St. Joseph, Michigan: Who knew you could hand ten in the Great Lakes? The small summer swells are great for beginners. Let Third Coast Surf Shop show you the ropes.

Cape Cod, Massachusetts: Best known for charming towns and wild beaches, the Cape has gnarly waves too. Sugar Surf teaches you how to ride them like a pro.

Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina : This is the place to surf in the South. Honeymoon here in summer and you can jump into a surf lesson at Surf Camp.

Cocoa Beach, Florida: The epi-center of Floridian surfing is also a sweet spot for honeymooners. Ron Jon Surf School will help you get your feet wet.

10 Ways to Make Your Hair Grow Faster Before Your Wedding

hair-growth-tips-for-your-wedding-500.jpg

Photo: Chris Craymer/TrunkArchive.com

Growing out your hair for your wedding? With all of you impatient brides in mind, we spoke to New York dermatologist Marnie Nussbaum, who set the record straight on what really works.

1. Drink green tea.
"It promotes the growth of hair follicles to boost hair production," Nussbaum says. Shoot for three cups a day.

2. Stay hydrated.
"Water regulates the circulatory system, which feeds the hair follicles, which stimulates hair growth," she says. Aim for the good old rule of eight glasses per day and try flavoring it with sliced fruit if you crave more flavor.

3. Indulge in scalp massages.
Twice per week, give yourself a gentle, 10-minute head massage when you're in the shower. "It increases blood flow and circulation to promote hair growth," Nussbaum says.

4. Deep condition your locks.
If life without heat tools and hair dye is simply out of the question, apply a deep-conditioning treatment once or twice a week in the shower or even overnight to repair the damage. Try Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask.

See more: 11 Things to Avoid the Week Before Your Wedding

5. Eat salmon a few times each week.
It contains a trifecta of healthy-hair helpers: Vitamin D and protein, which are key for strong, shiny hair, and omega-3 fatty acids, which keep your scalp healthy, Nussbaum says.

6. Don't over wash your hair.
Those with thick or curly hair can cleanse their hair a few times per week, while those with fine hair can wash it daily. "Shampooing too often with the wrong products can weaken the hair," says Nussbaum, who recommends choosing shampoos and conditioners that are free of sulfates, parabens, and sodium chloride. Her pick: Aviva Botanical HydraCreme Shampoo and Conditioner.

7. Be gentle with your brush.
Brushing pulls hair out of the follicles and weakens strands, so use it carefully — and sparingly. "Don't brush your hair until it's at least halfway dry, since hair follicles are more delicate when wet," Nussbaum says. "You really should only brush your hair to style it."

8. Ditch your signature topknot. (Sorry.)
Over time, wearing your hair in a tight bun or ponytail can weaken follicles, Nussbaum says. Use fabric hair ties and switch things up with softer styles like a low, loose braid.

9. Sleep on a satin pillowcase.
"Hair can break when strands get caught in the fibers of cotton pillowcases," she says. "Satin prevents this and retains your hair's moisture by not sapping the scalp's natural oils like cotton."

10. Don't stress over trims.
Getting rid of split ends will help reduce breakage and make hair look way healthier. That said, cutting off the ends doesn't affect the follicles in your scalp, which determines how fast and how much your hair grows, Nussbaum says. If you feel like you need something, ask your stylist for a "dusting" — a mini trim which takes off only the most damaged tippy-tips of your hair, leaving your length intact.

We must admit we're pretty impressed with Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross's wedding. After all, she wore an on-trend crop-top wedding dress by Houghton, used a horse-drawn carriage and dream catchers to create a bohemian-meets-vintage aesthetic, carried a gorgeous cascading bouquet with a ton of greenery, and outfitted each of her bridesmaids in unique white dresses and mismatched stunning sparkly headpieces.

And it turns out, Ashlee's brand-new mother-in-law, Diana Ross, gives the couple's wedding her stamp of approval too! In a recent interview with Us Weekly, the proud mom of Ashlee's hubby, Evan, could not stop gushing about the affair, which was held at her Greenwich, Connecticut estate this past Sunday.

"The wedding went perfectly," the soulful songstress said of Sunday's 200-guest event. "We had a beautiful rainbow surrounding us, loving family and friends, great music, and great speeches from loving and caring friends, and joyful children dancing the night away."

"I thank everyone who supported us on the spectacular day and our neighbors who were kind enough to let us have fun. We had great friends that traveled from Norway, London, Switzerland, and from all over the world. Wishing Evan and Ashlee congratulations," she added. "I want only love, happiness, and joy for my son and his bride."

It's the newlywed couple that should be thanking her, though! The legendary music icon and former Supremes lead not only hosted the lovebird's big day, she also officiated the ceremony and sang her famed hit, "Endless Love," at the reception. Talk about an extra special day!

Sandy Malone Observations Advice After 10 Years of Marriage

Photo: Getty Images

Owner of Weddings in Vieques, a destination-wedding planning company off the coast of Puerto Rico, Sandy Malone has helped countless couples plan their big day since 2007. Along with being a pro-planner, Sandy has been happily married for 10 years to Bill Malone, who is also her business partner. In fact, today, marks the couple's 10th anniversary! In honor of their milestone, Sandy is looking back at the most important things she's learned about married life over the past decade — engaged couples should take note!

1. Marriage doesn't change you as a couple — it just makes you better. Where one of you is weak, the other is strong. Together you can become unbeatable. The expression "power couple" doesn't only apply to celebrities and politicians.

2. The annoying things your fiancé does before you get married, he or she will probably still be doing 10 years later as your husband or wife. I still put my shirts in the hamper inside out. Bill still forgets to turn off the alarm when he walks the dog in the morning.

3. Our teamwork gets better every year. Our silent eye signals and private language have expanded 10-fold and now he can understand me when I speak in pronouns.

4. We all age. Some more gracefully than others, but it's inevitable. Appreciating each other's growth and maturity makes getting older a beautiful thing. Learning to joke about it makes it tolerable.

5. Family doesn't go away, it grows. Now we have six grandchildren (from his previous marriage) and every one of them is a blessing.

6. Friends come and go. Your spouse is always there. No matter what. If one of you has to cut somebody loose, the other one holds the scissors to cut that cord.

See More: Bigger Weddings Lead to Happier Marriages, a New Study Says!

7. Your husband or wife will always take your side — even when you're wrong. That doesn't mean you don't have to listen to him or her later when you talk privately about the issue.

8. Your spouse's health will become more important to you than your own — which is why you both have to feel that way. You are each other's best and only advocate when the chips are down.

9. Respect grows over the years in a successful marriage. You brag more about your spouse's successes than your own, and you suffer his or her failures as if they were your own. When your husband or wife hurts, you hurt. When you grieve, you grieve together.

10. I fall more in love with my husband every single day of our lives. Every day he does something wonderful and amazing that I don't always take the time to appreciate with words. But I should.

When Ashlee Simpson married Evan Ross last Sunday at the groom's family estate in Greenwich, Connecticut, the boho bride wore not one, but two custom looks from Houghton Bride.

Earlier this week, we caught a glimpse of Ashlee's two-piece, crop-top wedding look (complete with a high-low hemline and custom beaded pearl details!), seen in the sketch below, but the bride did a surprising quick change for her reception. Instead of slipping into another skirt or dress, Ashlee opted for a pair of ivory sequin "Faye" wide-leg trousers and a matching "Nadja" crop top.

"Ashlee is the quintessential Houghton bride," the fashion house's designer Katharine Polk exclusively tells Brides. "The Houghton collection is inspired by Katharine Hepburn and Ashlee's reception look has elements of the icon's timeless yet modern style."

Evan also swapped his ceremony ensemble (a velvet tux) for a custom Houghton look: a suit, made of ivory silk and burnout velvet, which featured a tailored smoking jacket, cuffed harem trousers, an ivory silk georgette shirt with oversized cuffs, and a loose necktie. The pair's reception looks can be seen in the above sketch.

"This has been such a fun experience," the designer says of working with the newlyweds. "Ashlee and Evan are the epitome of a Houghton Couple. I love that they are involved with each other's look and I've been able to work so closely with them to make sure every look exudes their personal style."

We love that the newlyweds weren't afraid to push style boundaries — even on their wedding day!

Though Jeff Nolan and Dana Cohen were the same year at Vanderbilt, lived in neighboring sorority and fraternity houses, took classes together, and had a number of friends in common, the pair didn't meet until after they'd graduated and both moved to Atlanta. "My cousin started talking to Jeff at a bat mitzvah they were both at," says Dana. "He found me on Facebook, and we finally met a few months later (after going to the same Halloween party a few weeks earlier and totally missing each other!)."

Four and a half years later, in May of 2013, Jeff pulled of a proposal that Dana did not see coming. A full year in advance, he asked for her father's permission to propose. Then, that fateful weekend, Jeff and Dana headed to Hilton Head, South Carolina, to see his family. They headed to the beach for a picnic, and Jeff got down on one knee as the sun set. After she said yes, he and Dana headed back into the house to call her family — and were greeted by a welcoming committee that included both of their families and their group of friends from Atlanta! "I dropped everything I was holding and burst into tears," says Dana.

Less than a year later, on April 26th, 2014, the couple returned to Hilton Head (with 350 guest!) for their wedding at the Westin Hilton Head Island, photographed by Shawna Herring Photography.

Though Dana walked into the bridal salon with a vision of an all-lace beige dress with a fitted silhouette, the gown she chose was the complete opposite: an a-line Romona Keveza design with a lace-edged skirt. She kept her jewelry in the family. "I borrowed the diamonds from my aunt," says Dana. "My cousin, sister, and I all wore the same jewelry on our wedding days!"

Jeff wore a classic black tuxedo with the same light blue Vineyard Vines tie as the groomsmen.

Jeff's boutonniere featured a white ranunculus and a rose, tied with satin ribbon.

"I gave my florist free rein," says Dana. "The flowers were gorgeous!" She carried a bouquet of white stock, ranunculus, hydrangeas, and roses, perfect for the seaside wedding.

Dana and Jeff's chuppah, built out of driftwood, was decorated with branches and white blooms. The couple had a traditional Jewish ceremony, and recessed to "Here Comes the Sun" by The Beatles.

Escort cards were displayed on a wall of moss. "We wanted to add an organic feel," says the bride. The room was decorated in shades of white, ivory, and gold, casting a soft glow over the room. Centerpieces featured soft white flowers in a mix of tall and low arrangements.

After a dinner of local red snapper, guests were treated to the couple's carrot and pound cake wedding cake, as well as a cookie cake and roast-your-own s'mores. "The after party was a blast," says Dana.

After two weeks in Greece and Turkey, the couple returned to Atlanta. "It feels the same as before," says Dana, "which is a good thing!"

Her advice to engaged couples is to take a moment to take everything in. "We took a moment at the top of the terrace to look down and see everyone who was there," she says. "I'm glad we did it—it goes by way too fast!"

With so much celebrity wedding news making headlines over Labor Day Weekend, it was easy to miss this interesting turn of events: Newlywed Angelina Jolie's ex-girlfriend, actress and model Jenny Shimizu, also got married!

Though her official wedding date has yet to be confirmed, photos of Shimizu and her bride, socialite Michelle Harper, were released on Wednesday according to Us Weekly. The couple tied the knot in New York, wearing amazingly dramatic outfits, with Harper in a voluminous white wedding dress (and a one-of-a-kind bobbed haircut) and Shimizu in a formal black suit.

Shimizu met her future wife in 2012, and recently recounted the story to The New York Times. "I didn't believe it myself until I saw it. It's like so many things about her. There are these misconceptions and generalizations that don't fit this person who is full of spirit and down-to-earthiness."

Her initial feelings of love match how Jolie once described feeling the first time she laid eyes on Shimizu. "I would probably have married Jenny Shimizu if I hadn't married my husband," she told Girlfriends magazine in 1997. "I fell in love with her the first second I saw her."

Jolie and Shimizu met on the set of their 1996 film Foxfire. At the time, the now Mrs. Pitt was married to her first husband, Jonny Lee Miller. She's been open about her surprising relationship with a woman, but since then she's now very publicly settled-down with a man.

"[I was] surprised when I suddenly found myself having these feelings I always had for men, but for a woman," Jolie told Barbara Walters in a 20/20 interview years after her relationship with Shimizu ended. "And wanting to kiss her and wanting to touch her."

They'll always have their relationship — and, potentially, identical wedding dates!

5 Bridal Moments You Shouldn't Share on Social Media

Wedding Moments Not to Share on Social Media

In an era of wedding hashtags and ceremony live tweeting, the line between sentimental and inappropriate social media posts can get a little gray. If you ever catch yourself wondering whether your upload crosses the line, consider these suggestions for five strictly offline bridal moments.

1. The Planning Frustrations
Whether it's gripes with the mother of the groom, annoyance with vendors, or budget resentment, every bride encounters a few hair-pulling moments when wedding planning. While we strongly suggest airing out these issues over a glass of wine with friends, your social media accounts are not the place to broadcast planning problems. Not only do these posts have the potential to hurt feelings, they're also, just, unflattering. Trust us.

2. The Dress Fittings
We know, you're in a wedding dress, you feel magical, your grandma's grinning and you're so happy your insides are probably filled with glitter. That said, do not post pictures of your wedding dress — or contenders — on social media ... in any form. You may think this is harsh but we've heard far too many horror stories of "private posts" being shared beyond their intent and the last thing you want to do is deflate your big entrance with a poorly-lit smartphone photo.

3. The Registry Details
Just because you're really, really excited about that china you registered for at Bloomingdale's does not mean you should Instagram it. Err on the side of discretion and keep any mentions of your registry off social media. If someone happens to ask you a question about your registry online, kindly direct them to your wedding website (where you can divulge all the registry details you'd like) or contact them privately.

4. The Bathroom
You know that photo of all the bridesmaids holding up the bride's dress as she pees? It's been done ... and it never looks graceful. Ditch the cliché and find your own quirky moments to capture. Preferably ones that don't include toilets.

5. The Wedding Night
Once you and your groom exit the reception, turn all social media off and enjoy your private time, um, privately, for everyone's sake. We know, you're excited to share your newlywed bliss, but save the selfies for the honeymoon, lovebirds.

Newlywed Jessica Simpson Reveals She's Happier Than Ever

Jessica Simpson has had a whirlwind summer. Not only did she finally wed longtime fiancé Eric Johnson over July 4th in California, she was also a bridesmaid at sister Ashlee's bohemian blowout this past weekend. Amongst of all the recent milestones, she says she's happier than ever.

In a letter to Glamour, the new Mrs. Johnson dishes her secret to a successful relationship, overcoming her deepest insecurities, and learning to lean on her those closest to her.

Jessica opens up about Eric's undying support and love. "Eric has seen me at every size, and he loves me no matter what," she writes in the letter. "Eric was so supportive and challenged me to accept my insecurities and focus on what truly matters."

"I feel stronger than ever, and Eric's unconditional love has been a reminder of the love I should give myself," she continues.

As for her very public weight battles, Jessica says it's important to still indulge in the things you love — even when you're trying to fit into the wedding dress of your dreams: "I didn't want to deprive myself or give up the foods (and cocktails!) I love in order to feel beautiful on my wedding day," the Weight Watchers spokesperson writes. "I gave myself plenty of time to get my body where I wanted it to be, and I learned to make balanced choices during the process. The moment I put on my gown, I was proud that I had let myself celebrate along the way."

Last but not least, it's clear from both Jessica and Ashlee's wedding that family means everything. The pop-star-turned-fashion-designer's words about them, only reaffirmed our suspicians.

"My family has been by my side in every way imaginable — through the highest highs and the lowest lows. I believe that because I've nurtured and cherished these relationships, my marriage and the relationship I have with myself are strengthened daily."

A Bride's Guide to E-mail Etiquette

We're all about digital weddings, from live-streaming your vows to having a cute wedding hashtag. But when it comes to e-mail, even if it slashes your budget, things get a little dicier. Just because you can send an e-mail doesn't mean you always should. For instance, it's never a good idea to e-mail a wedding invitation or a thank-you note. On the other hand, it's a very acceptable option for other circumstances. We found some etiquette expert-approved situations in which you should by all means start messaging your guests.

I want to save money on some part of my wedding stationery. Can I e-mail my save-the-dates?
Absolutely. Many couples, once they've pinned down their wedding day, choose to send out an early informal note alerting friends and family to put that date aside. It's perfectly fine to e-mail this note.

Is it ok to e-mail lodging information later on if my hotel can't confirm a block of rooms until closer to the wedding date?
Yes, and this is also a good way to avoid overloading the mailing even if you know about your hotel block in advance. Also, feel free to e-mail information on restaurants and points of interest. For those of your guests who prefer web communication, a group e-mail is ideal for this purpose.

Thoughts on including an e-mail address on my invitations for RSVPs?
It's perfectly acceptable to give your guests the option of e-mailing their responses to you. Just make sure that it's an option. Simply add a printed sentence at the bottom of your printed response card saying, "You may also reply by way of our e-mail address, which is happycouple@rsvp.com." This is especially appropriate in the case of a last-minute wedding, if you are planning a relatively informal wedding, or if you're already in regular e-mail contact with many of your invited guests.

Rehearsal Dinner Dresses

Sure, the word "rehearsal" is in the name, but your rehearsal dinner dress should be anything but a practice round. Just like your wedding dress, the ensemble you choose to rock on the eve of your big day should make an impact. It is, after all, the first time any of your friends and family will see you in an official bride capacity that weekend — make it count!

The good news is that unlike your wedding dress, which, may have to be a bit more traditional because of the ceremony space, venue of choice, or even your mom, you can really experiment with a rehearsal dinner look — be it with a menswear-inspired shift from ABS or oversized ruffles on an ASOS dress.

That doesn't mean you can't go the more classic bridal route, though. From ivory lace knee-length shifts from Ruche to a sweet satin Alfred Sung bow-tied numbers and girly Kate Spade A-line dresses, your rehearsal dinner look should reflect you, your style, and of course, the overall tone of your wedding.

We searched high and low for some of the chicest rehearsal dinner dresses in the market. The best part? We found looks that work for a wide range of price points and styles. So what are you waiting for? Get shopping!

Summer may be coming to an end, but that doesn't mean you have to put away pretty pastel details — especially when it comes to your wedding-day look! No, we don't mean you have to purchase a pale-hued wedding dress in order to be on trend (though we do have quite a few favorites!). Rather, fashion-forward brides are selecting wedding-ready accessories in ultra-soft hues for a chic pop of color to an otherwise all-white look.

Luckily for the bride-to-be who wants to add a pastel accessory to her look, there's no shortage of pretty choices! Designers practically flooded their fall runways with pale pink, mint green, and yellow options that are the perfect addition to your bridal wardrobe.

Some of our favorites statement-making pieces included barely-there-hued shoes and jewelry. A petal-pink leather sandal would be a gorgeous complement to a trendy tea-length wedding dress. Offset your engagement ring with a colorful bauble, like a white gold-and-amethyst stunner. Prefer your jewelry to be more understated? We loved a yellow-sapphire ring with just the right hint of color and sparkle.
