Would it be acceptable to include our children's names on our wedding invitation? How should we word it? —Amber L. of Boone, Iowa, via Facebook
Dear Amber,
You are free to do just about anything for your big day. There is no such thing as wedding police to arrest you (yet). So feel free to print something like: "Junior and Little Amber happily invite you to join them at the marriage ceremony of their parents, [insert names here]...." Traditionalists might pooh-pooh the idea, but as a guest, I'd think it was cute and warm. Bottom line: With social conventions mutating at the speed of light, I say do whatever makes you happy!
