Alyssa and Kevin, who were lab partners in college, decided to wed in Bay Harbor, a resort town in northern Michigan where Alyssa has frequently vacationed with her family. She wore a Christos gown and veil, while carrying a bouquet of white roses, hydrangeas, orchids, ranunculuses, and peonies. Following the Catholic ceremony at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Petoskey, guests made their way to the Bay Harbor Yacht Club.
During cocktail hour on the patio overlooking the marina, guests enjoyed Kir Royales—the couple's signature cocktail—as well as an assortment of hors d'oeuvres, including lamb chop "lollipops" and crab cakes. The reception was held in the ballroom, where tables displayed tall and low arrangements of roses, ranunculuses, and hydrangeas in mercury glass vases and silver vessels. All flowers were by Bloom Floral Design Studio.
