Natalie Portman married Benjamin Millepied over the weekend at a private home near Big Sur, California, reports People. No news yet on what Natalie wore, but we did hear that the happy couple said "I do" after dark in a Jewish ceremony.
We're not going to lie—we were kind of operating under the impression that the Black Swan costars had already tied the knot. Both were seen wearing wedding bands back in February on the Oscars' red carpet and their jeweler, Jamie Wolf, even referred to the rings as "wedding rings" in a release. (Though she later changed her tune telling The Hollywood Reporter, "I designed rings for the couple and cannot attach meaning to those items.")
Wolf created a recycled platinum wedding band for Millepied and not one, but two, conflict-free diamond wedding rings for Portman, made to fit on either side of her engagement ring. Portman's engagement ring, which features a round-cut antique diamond surrounded by smaller, glittering stones, was also designed by Wolf, a dancer turned jewelry designer and friend of Millepied's.
The couple met in 2009 while filming Black Swan, which earned Portman an Oscar for Best Actress. They announced that they were engaged and expecting their first child in December 2010. Their son, Aleph, is 14 months old.
