Dana Wood, our savvy Beauty Director, recently pinned this stunning henna artistry from a traditional Indian wedding. The elaborate treatment to the bride's hands combined with the bright bangle bracelets is nothing short of beautiful.

At a Hindu wedding, as seen here at Rachna and Rishi's Milwakee celebration, the bride's hands (and feet!) are magnificently patterned with a reddish-brown design, referred to as "henna". The ritual is performed during an afternoon tea before the big day, and the groom's name is always included in the pattern. The intricate design, which can take up to five hours to complete, signifies the deep love between the future husband and wife.
