New York City event designer David Stark uses Post-its on a regular basis to figure out seating charts. The design guru simply writes each guest's name on mini sticky notes and moves them around on a blown-up floor plan until he arrives at the perfect seating configuration. Stark has also incorporated Post-its into his events and exhibits, including the New Yorkers for Children Gala and Post-it DIY Project.
"Post-it notes have lots of fabulous possibilities beyond the functional" says Stark "and can become the building block of a surprising decor. Creating an eye-popping mural is as easy as sticking the notes on a wall. Use the squares to "write" a welcome message, giant flower or wedding bell shapes, perhaps a giant champagne flute, or even a quirky take on the classic 'just married' sign for a get-a-way car: place the notes directly on the side of the car!"
If you're as Post-it obsessed as we are, you'll be glad to know that the company has recently launched a Personalized Post-it Note Collection. For the first time, Post-it aficionados will be able to design their own creations by uploading photos and customizing colors.
