Whether you're getting married indoors or outdoors, in the heat of summer or the dead of winter, and so on, you should definitely dress up your aisle! The options for decorating your ceremony are endless: You can have an elaborate structure, candles lining the aisle, or a classic flower petal design. With so many choices, we wanted to see what real brides on Facebook went for. Here, the best ideas we found:

1. Hearts and swirls
Forget having your flower girl drop petals as she walks down the aisle — you can make an elaborate pattern with them beforehand, instead! Bride Katrina Sykes showed how its done with this photo, which shows a pretty design involving curlicues and an initial.

2. Keep it simple
If your outdoor venue has a built-in ceremony structure, there's probably little you need to do to make it stand out. Bride Amanda Anderson wisely kept her décor to a minimum, using clean white curtains to draw focus to the altar, and tree stumps topped with flowers down the aisle. Simple and sweet.

3. A flower lining
Marking the edge of the aisle with a line of flower petals is an increasingly popular option, and bride Alexandra Patel's photo shows why! It draws the eye straight toward the bride and groom, and it doesn't compete with the rest of the space. We also happen to love the floral displays at the end of the aisle, too!
