Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder got married on April 26 after dating for just nine months, and based on the photos released earlier this week of their Sunday ceremony and reception, the two hosted one stylish fête. And now, we're getting more details about their big day!
According to Us Weekly, the Twilight alumna and her Vampire Diaries star husband wed at the Tuscali Mountain Inn in Topanga, California. The Italian-style B&B is set on three acres of gorgeous gardens and sits just six miles from trendy Malibu beach — no wonder it was the perfect choice for their A-list, bohemian-meets-beachy day!

"Nikki originally wanted a small wedding," a friend told Us. "But Ian envisioned a big wedding. She was happy to let him call the shots."
They ultimately hosted a rustic bash in which the bride wore a custom three-quarter-sleeve lace Claire Pettibone wedding dress (that Somerhalder chivalrously held up as they took photos so that the white gown wouldn't get dirty). Guests included the groom's CW costars Kat Graham, Paul Wesley, Matt Davis, and Phoebe Tonkin. Their reception took place outside and the couple's friends and family dined at long tables beneath glowing café lights.
But there was one invited guest that (understandably) didn't show up on the big day. According to Bustle, the happy couple extended an invite to Somerhalder's ex-girlfriend (and co-star), Nina Dobrev, but she ultimately skipped their open-air celebration. "She was invited. She actually thought about going, but in the end Nina decided it would just be too awkward," a source said. "She truly does love Ian with all of her heart, but watching him marry Nikki would have just been too painful. She's now closed two doors in her life and just wants to move forward."
The couple didn't let it ruin their fun, though! They're now headed on a romantic honeymoon that will reportedly take them across the globe. "Both of their schedules are pretty clear for a while," Us Weekly reports. "They're planning an extravagant trip around the world!"
