The best-dressed couple, at least in my opinion, of the 2012 Oscars never actually walked the awards show red carpet. In fact, I don't think they weren't even invited. But David and Victoria Beckham arrived to Vanity Fair's annual after party with all of the sexy sophistication expected of them—and then some.
Victoria sported a taupe column gown of her own design that she accessorized with a double-wrapped black leather belt and a sizable, green gem ring. Ever the coordinated couple, David complemented his wife's look with a peak-lapel Dior tuxedo, mirroring her clean lines and dash of rebel detailing (he opted for gray ombré shoes in place of the standard patent leather). Unlike many men at this year's Oscars who experimented with either trendy skinny lapels or wide shawl styles, Beckham's mid-cut struck an ideal balance for his trim, athletic build.
Of course, the Beckhams weren't alone in delivering double the style on Sunday. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were their usual glamorous selves (although arguably a tad leggy), as were Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt in a classic tux and necktie and a velvet Johanna Johnson gown, respectively.
