With just weeks to go before their first wedding anniversary, Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, have opened up about the details of the birth of their son, Israel — a 70-hour delivery during which Duggar stayed incredibly, admirably calm, according to People. It was "worth every single contraction," she says now.
The 23-year-old 19 Kids and Counting star delivered their baby boy in a surprise C-section and Dillard, 26, sang "Jesus Loves Me" as his wife recovered from the surgery, according to People. "[It was] the song I'd sung to him every night when Jill was pregnant," he explained. "I looked at him and thought, 'This is my son. I love this person.'"

Duggar, who has delivered nearly 30 babies as part of her training to become a midwife, is home now, nursing Israel, but she's certainly not alone! The large Duggar clan is there to support her!
"I love our birth story because it bonded us so well," she told People. "It brought us through something amazing together. It was a journey that we needed to go through."
Duggar may not just be referring to her long and dramatic labor. The new mom delivered her son two weeks past her due date of March 24! The couple tracked her pregnancy through a series of Instagram images, capturing her ever expanding belly.
