Come on down, brides and grooms! The long-running TV game show, The Price Is Right, is set to make countless couples very happy (not to mention make television history) with a special twist.
According to People, immediately following today's showcase showdown, host Drew Carey will perform a mass wedding ceremony on the set of the beloved show. In an episode that was filmed earlier this year, an audience full of real, longtime couples, came to the show ready to tie the knot in a very unique way. "These are real couples, and we were honored to be a part of their special day," producer Mike Richards says. "We weren't going to punk anyone, and we wanted to make it exciting and fun, while respecting that these are people who are pledging their lives to each other."

So how did they pull it off? Carey explains that he was excited about the idea as soon as his producers pitched it. "I thought it was funny, not crazy," Carey says. "It was a good chance for me to have a Reverend Moon moment. Someone in the production office got me signed up on the Internet to do it. And poof, I was authorized to officiate weddings!"
And because these were all legal weddings, Carey had to fill out a lot of paperwork that he wasn't expecting. "I had to fill out each and every wedding certificate," he says. "That was a pain; there were so many of them."
Anyone who has watch the CBS game show knows of the typically enthusiastic audience, but Richards explains today's show will be like none other. "It was an amazing atmosphere," he says. "Everyone was so excited, they almost didn't care whether they won or lost their games. They were getting married!"
