Cristiano Lucci focuses on a few key things when he's designing his wedding dress collections: timelessness, luxury, and Old World elegance. His strength? Intricate details that elevate the gown to a couture-like level. Here, the designer opens up about his newest designs, and shares two exclusive sketches of his upcoming dresses!

The Cristiano Lucci bride is classic yet modern.
"She looks for great design and excellent quality with our fashion-forward looks and timeless staples," the designer explains. This fashion-conscious bride to be knows what she wants and is looking to make her couture dreams come true."

This season's collection draws inspiration from the big screen beauties of the past.
"The sultry sirens of Old Hollywood are my biggest inspiration for this season. I love the glamour of the 1920s, the chic aesthetic of the 1940s, the prim and proper ballgowns of the 1950s and the emerging bohemian influence of the 1960s," Lucci explains. "I love to combine the periods, too. Most importantly, I look to iconic women in film — Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Loren, Rita Hayworth. They have sensuality and appeal, combined with the strength and femininity always in the most classic and elegant way!"

Plunging necklines and beaded details are some of the major trends this season.
"A wider variety of embroideries, many with subtle metallic embellishments, are on-trend. Plunging necklines and intricate bead-work on the backs of gowns are all the rage — especially bead work that looks like fine jewelry rather than an appliqué. Lace is also making a big comeback in 2015."

Lucci also shares his top three tips.
"Don't judge a dress by its hanger appeal, do not be influenced or confused by other people's opinions of what represents you on your big day, and make a budget and find the best bang for it! I have a few more tips too," the designer recommends. "Keep it classic rather than trendy and you will forever be pleased withyour decisions. Once you make a decision go for it, do not second guess yourself. And finally celebrate yourself and others will follow!"
