Reps for both actors confirmed the engagement news to People, sharing that the engagement was a long-time coming. While there's no word on when it official happened, Abrams likely popped the question while in Mexico at the Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa (check out their steamy seaside kiss, below!) earlier this month to celebrate Garth's 43rd birthday. "Dave has been working on this for months, and really wanted to plan something special for around her birthday and make it perfect," a source close to the couple said.

The pair started dating last fall and only took their relationship public in January, but as they say, when you know, you know! And Abrams clearly seems smitten with his brand new fiancé, even sharing a sweet Tweet on her birthday with a special message: "Happy Birthday @jenniegarth #loveumoreandmoreeachday."

This will be Garth's second trip down the aisle. She was previously married to Twilight actor Peter Facinelli from 2001 to 2013, and the pair have three children together. Interestingly enough, Facinelli is on his way to second-time marital bliss too. He proposed to girlfriend Jaimie Alexander last month during a visit to the top of the Empire State Building.
Despite the coincidental timing, Garth and Abrams seem to be the real deal. During a recent vacation to Santa Barbara, Abrams posted an adorable selfie, seen above, where the couple could not look more in love.
