Pamella DeVos of Pamella Roland is a designer known for her beautiful feminine dresses and body-conscious silhouettes, and since launching her label in 2002, and joining the CFDA in 2010, Pamella has dressed some of Hollywood's most beautiful stars. Her debut bridal collection for Fall 2015 is full of varied silhouettes for different bridal moments from a short cocktail dress to an embellished organza gown with beautiful volume, to a minimal curved-bust column that epitomizes classic bridal style. We sat down to talk to the designer about her recently launched bridal line, her favorite part about designing wedding dresses, and more.
Pamella Roland's bridal collection was created to inspire joy in brides.
Pamella launched her bridal collection last year after women continued to come to her to order wedding dresses from her ready-to-wear collection. "The launch was also at around the same time my eldest daughter became engaged so the design process has felt even more special. As a designer it's exciting for me to create options that our customer will love to wear on that special day." The designer continued, "My favorite part about designing for brides is that I hope they will feel the same excitement and joy that I did when I found my dress, and knew it was the one for me."
The designer's favorite bridal trends? A return to the classics.
Like many bridal designers, Pamella was greatly inspired by the Duchess of Cambridge. "The royal wedding started one of my favorite current bridal trends, which is the return of big traditional weddings that are a little more formal and have a sense of celebration. Kate's beautiful classic lace dress has also made an impact, which I love, because a gorgeous lace dress truly becomes an heirloom." She adds, "My favorite silhouette is an off-the-shoulder style with a three-quarter-length sleeve. It is timeless feminine style, and with the right fabric and embellishment the silhouette will look modern."

Here top three tips for brides are more service-based than fashion focused.
"Always fit your gown with the same, or similar foundation garments you will be wearing on your wedding day. Second, when it comes to hair and make up, do not worry about trends, and always schedule a test prior to your wedding day. Finally, not everyone can wear heels higher than three inches and make it look effortless, so stay within your comfort zone. No one likes a grumpy bride with sore feet!"
