Losing your wedding ring is a fear that many brides (understandably) have at some point in their life. You might be concerned your ring bearer will drop it on the big day, that you'll accidentally leave it on a bathroom counter, or that it will slip down the drain when you're washing dishes. Another big fear? Your pets eating them!
For one Tulsa couple, that is exactly what happened. According to Fox23, when Stephanie Lamb went to retrieve her engagement ring and wedding band off the coffee table where she had left them the evening before, she was surprised to see they were no longer there.
"I saw my dogs near the coffee table and remembered I'd left my wedding rings sitting on the table last night," Lamb said.

Her first instinct was that her Labrador puppy, Sierra, likely had something to do with the missing baubles, which were worth $23,000. "I knew it was Sierra because she's just a little bit of a troublemaker," Lamb said.
So she rushed Sierra to the vet who quickly determined that their playful pup was the culprit. Sierra underwent emergency surgery to remove the bridal bling since leaving them could have damaged her intestines. "She eats more than rings, I'm afraid. There were some rocks in there and some sticks or maybe bones," their veterinarian Dr. Rodney Roberts said.
For Lamb, coming home with a healthy dog and her rings was especially meaningful. Her son, Brody, was relieved to see his mother wearing her engagement ring and wedding band again. "(I thought) that my mom and dad weren't married anymore," Brody said when he noticed his mother without those two important pieces of jewelry.
Moral of the story? Don't leave your rings within reach of your pup!
