Assuming for a minute that unnamed sources said to be close to Hollywood A-listers are to be trusted, it seems that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are already talking engagement plans after less than a year of dating. (The pair picked up following Lively's split with Leonardo DiCaprio and Reynolds' divorce from Scarlett Johansson in July 2011.)
Like something out of Gossip Girl's high-society whispers, the source claims that Lively, 24, hopes to find a vintage engagement ring before Reynolds, 35, proposes. And while we have many a suggestion for vintage-style engagement rings, we're a little surprised the starlet doesn't want an emerald design inspired by Green Lantern, considering Lively met her beau on-set. Or even the morganite-and-diamond 14-karat rose gold ring her GG character recently donned as a bridesmaid.
Beyond baubles, if and when Lively and Reynolds head toward marriage, the real question will be what Karl Lagerfeld designs for his sun-kissed muse to wear down the aisle—something similar to or wildly different than the white Spring 2009 Chanel Couture gown she wore to the Green Lantern premiere last summer?
