A gown may cover your legs with yards of tulle or organza—but those weeks of pre-wedding squats and lunges aren't for naught. As soon as you step off the plane for your honeymoon, it's time to show them off. Here's how to get smooth, glowing legs for every moment t— and every Insta pic—of your getaway.
Step 1: Prep
Use a gentle body scrub before lathering up with shaving cream to remove dirt, residue, and dead skin cells from follicles, making hair way easier to remove and reducing razor burn. We love Molton Brown's warming body scrub ($48, available at Amazon) with eucalyptus and menthol.
Step 2: Get smooth
Throw out that months-old disposable razor you've been recycling in favor of a fresh blade. Try a razor with moisturizing lotion built in, like Venus + Olay ($9.47, available at Walmart). Waxers, book your appointment for a few days before the honeymoon, so any lingering redness has time to dissipate before you take off.

Step 3: Moisturize
To keep dry skin and irritation at bay, slather on a body cream (they're heavier than lotions) right after you get out of the shower to maximize absorption. Try L'Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream ($42, available at Amazon).
Step 4: Bronze
We're all for embracing the pale, but if you want a little color for your honeymoon, skip the dangerous tanning beds and fake it with self-tanner. If you're a newbie, go for a gradual formula, like L'Oreal Sublime Glow ($9.50, available at Amazon), which builds color over time. (Make sure to do a trial run a few weeks before your wedding!) If you're a veteran, try a spray-on formula like St. Tropez Self-Tan Bronzing Spray ($35, available at Amazon), which makes legs look extra-radiant in those beach photos.
Step 5: Protect
Don't ruin all your hard work with a painful, peeling sunburn. You should already be applying an SPF 30 or higher sunscreen daily anyway, but be extra vigilant on your honeymoon when you're out and about all day, often in direct sun. We love Neutrogena Wet Skin ($9, available at Amazon), which can go on immediately after you get out of the pool (or ocean).
