Thanks to starlets clamoring for Marchesa's red-carpet designs (Lea Michele, Sofia Vergara, and Rachel McAdams to name a few), Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig's shows are becoming one of the hottest tickets in town during Fashion Week.
Each season, the duo presents a fantastical array of dresses with a full dose of drama that so many other designers try to acheive but rarely do. This time around, Chapman and Craig turned to late-nineteenth-century French painter William-Adolphe Bouguereau's A Soul Brought to Heaven as their inspiration. The result: an ethereal parade of long and short gowns that are some serious wedding-dress contenders. Is this foreshadowing of what's to come in their Spring 2013 bridal collection? We can only hope.
