Ashley Tisdale's wedding was nothing short of gorgeous. From the Monique Lhuillier gown (with a removable tulle overskirt!), to the mismatched bridesmaid dresses, delicate baby's breath flower crown, and the rustic wood beams and chairs, everything about her big day was picture perfect.
One thing, though, seemed slightly odd: The day of the week she chose to get married. Monday, after all, isn't the most popular wedding day. The former High School Musical star shed light on the significance behind the unconventional date this morning on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS FM radio show.
"It definitely was for two reasons," Tisdale said of her Monday nuptials to Annie Automatic band member Christopher French. "The 8th was our anniversary so I wanted to land on an 8th, and [thankfully] it landed on a Monday in September."

The second reason was more sneaky than sweet. "Also, because I figured out like, 'Oh, I don't think anybody would figure this one out,' and that was to protect the privacy of it," she said.
She was right! Like many celebs before her, Tisdale pulled off the coveted surprise wedding. One thing that wasn't a surprise, though, was how this couple's love grew into something really special.
"I knew him for a long time and we had always had a connection," Tisdale told People following her wedding. "We were friends first. As we became better friends, I definitely knew it was something completely different and special."
"When you know, you know!" she said of her love for French. "It just happens. It's magical."
