If you're looking to add a bit of whimsy to your wedding flowers, consider fresh blackberries. The unripe (and inedible) berries are cut while they're still on the vine, so they will have long stems that your florist will be able to easily work with. Blackberries on the vine are in season and plentiful right now, so they're perfect for summertime celebrations. Colors-wise, they come in shades of green and red (the red ones actually resemble raspberries), as well as deep purple and almost black. They're a great way to add a rustic, summery touch to your bouquets and centerpieces, as well as a nice punch of color and texture. And, they also make the cutest boutonnieres! To get you inspired, we've rounded up of our favorite ways to feature them in your wedding day.

Non-Floral Boutonniere: If your groom isn't a fan of roses or other frilly blooms, then ask your florist to create a unique non-floral boutonniere for him to wear on his lapel. This boutonniere features a cool leaf called huechera that's combined with blackberries and butterfly bush and finished with a striped ribbon.
