After your wedding reception ends and you exit through an arch of sparklers and share a romantic kiss, it's time to scoot away to your first real alone time as a married couple! And these days, newlyweds are picking awesome getaway transportation, from hot air balloons to golf carts. We always love seeing what real brides and grooms choose, because it usually says something about their personalities. Our Facebook followers submitted some pretty amazing photos of how they bid adieu to their big day, so we picked our four favorites!
Bride Brittany Finkbeiner and her husband, seen above, went the vintage car route, which so many brides and grooms do today — and for good reason! There are rental companies in nearly every big city and town that let newlyweds ride off into the sunset in a classic set of wheels, making the moment feel extra special and steeped in tradition.

We love how the yellow school bus that bride Anna Dittbenner and her husband chose showcases their playful personality. Not only is it a cost-effective choice, it can also be a fun, personal touch if the bride or groom (or both) is a teacher.

Bride Ghada Abdel-Qader did what most brides dream of — she exited her reception like a princess out of a fairy tale! She and her husband stepped into a classic horse and carriage to mark their first moments as a married couple, and probably felt like total royalty.

Not all vintage cars are top-of-the-line masterpieces like Rolls-Royces. In fact, some of the best kinds are the ones that are fun, retro throwbacks! Bride Joanna Ferree probably had a blast in this VW Beetle that's totally cool and classic.
