"Josh and I wanted our wedding to be fun and different, so we chose a carnival theme," says Kathleen. The celebration was held at Stone House at Stirling Ridge, in Warren.

The bride wore a J.Crew gown and carried a bouquet by Warren Country Florist & Events, of craspedia, hydrangeas, and delphiniums. Josh sported a Joseph Abboud suit.

Bridesmaids wore J.Crew dresses, and the groomsmen paired their suits with pinwheel boutonnieres made by the bride's friends. At the ceremony , the ring bearer and flower girl, both nieces of the bride, wore dresses sewn by the bride's cousin.

Kathleen's brother played "Piano-Forte" by Jake Shimabukuro on his ukelele as she walked down the aisle with her parents. And following the ceremony, the couple made their way to their carnival-themed reception, where white beverage tubs from Target were filled with Jarritos sodas and Cheerwine, and used as centerpieces.

"The sodas added a pop of color on each table, plus they were useful and cost-friendly," says Kathleen. "We also had twisty straws for the kids, which they loved."

For dinner, the couple's 157 guests were served at stations featuring dishes from a variety of cuisines, from Spanish to Italian to Southern. The wedding cake was created by Rudy's Pastry Shop and featured a topper crafted by Josh. An old-fashioned ice cream truck from Delicious Ice Cream also provided treats. "Josh and I both love ice cream and classic cars, so it was the perfect mix," says Kathleen.

The couple performed their first dance to "Grow Old With You" by Adam Sandler. Music was provided by DJ Colleen Crumbcake. Another highlight of the afternoon: "My family and friends surprised us by performing a choreographed dance to Lady Gaga's 'Bad Romance,'" says Kathleen. "They did such a great job of keeping it a secret!"
