Knowing how to care for your specific skin type is the most important step in achieving flawless wedding day beauty. So if you want to look your best when you walk down the aisle, it's crucial to adopt a great skin-care routine well before your wedding day. Over the past two weeks we taught you how to tame oily and combination skin, and now we're sharing tips on tackling a dry complexion.
Cambridge, Massachusetts-based dermatologist Dr. Ranella Hirsch shares her top tips for brides-to-be managing dry skin. Follow her targeted plan for gorgeous skin on your big day and beyond!
Your Daily Regimen
For brides with dry skin, maintaining maximum moisture levels is key, says Hirsch. She suggests starting with a cream cleanser, avoid drying toners, and always apply your moisturizing cream to damp skin, which will help lock in humectants. Shop for products with buzzwords like "rich" and "creamy" on their label.

Your Beauty Diet
It's all about balance — and a rainbow of fruits and veggies, says Hirsch. Brightly colored foods that are rich in antioxidants work wonders on dry skin. Fill your cart with refreshing and hydrating red grapes, cucumbers, and celery. Add avocados to your diet, too, since they're full of skin-nourishing healthy fats.
Your Power Product
Mega-hydrators can be used every day when you have particularly dry skin since your thirsty pores will drink them right up. Every power potion you use should include the all-star skin pluming ingredient hyaluronic acid. That goes for serums, oils, and ultrarich creams too.
