Filming your proposal is practically a requirement these days, with viral videos of surprise Pinterest-planned weddings, adorable firefighters, a gaggle of adorable pug puppies and even a celeb step-in (we're looking at you Justin Timberlake and Aaron Paul) infiltrating the internet weekly. Who wouldn't want to film their first moments of their engagement to share with friends, family, and even the world?

Which is how the video above detailing Ring Cam, a ring box with a hidden camera, comes into play. Four seniors at Hope College were working on the genius idea as a design project for school. The result? The entrepreneurs designed a box that you can rent or buy with a built-in camera to capture the future bride's (or groom's!) excitement once the question has been popped — a memory you can all rejoice in and share for years to come.

"It's definitely one of the most important moments in a couple's relationship," Scott Brandonisio, one of Ring Cam's founders, told CNN. "To be able to share that, instantly, with all your friends and family and actually show them the moment and his or her actual reaction of just the genuine surprise and giddiness, it's wonderful."

Here's how it works: You can rent the box for three weeks for $99 (giving you enough time to practice!) or purchase it for $149. Once you push the button, the hidden cam will record a high-definition video. The box features a USB port, so you can easily transfer the movie file to your computer. The company also offers a video editing service to make your moment even more special. Once you're done, you send the box back in a box that Ring Cam provided (if you rented it).

Seems like a pretty great idea to us! You can learn more about the Ring Cam both here and here.
