It's official! Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union will get married on August 30th in Miami, Florida. TMZ reports that the future Mr. and Mrs. Wade sent out their invitations, but are still leaving guests in the dark when it comes to the rest of their wedding details.
The invitation features elegant black typography and is printed on wood. They've requested male guests dress in formal black and women in formal white. Though we're not positive, we've got a sneaking suspicion Union might choose a nontraditional, colorful wedding dress for her big day — with her guests in black and white, she'll probably want to stand out with a pop of color!
Another fact of note: the time. The couple's invitation states the wedding starts at 10:30 PM and guests will first report to a hotel near Miami shortly before 10 PM. They'll then be chartered by bus to the top-secret reception venue, which Wade and Union estimate to be 45 to 50 minutes south of South Beach.
There's a reason behind all of this extra time allotment — all guests will be screened through tight security before the ceremony and the reception. (Good luck, wedding crashers.) Not only will guests have to pass a security screening, but they're also required to present a photo ID prior to entry.
And if you were hoping to see inside wedding details from Wade and Union's nuptials, we've got some bad news. The pair also used their invite to let guests know that cell phones and personal cameras won't be permitted at their reception.
From what it sounds like, Wade and Union are making every effort to host a completely private and intimate event despite their celebrity status — a truly commendable feat, but we'll be interested to see if they can pull it off.
