Flawless wedding day beauty is about so much more than good lighting and expertly applied wedding makeup. To help you look your very best on your big day, it's essential to master your skin-care routine well before you hit the aisle. Last week we taught you the three most important things to tackling oily pores, so now we're sharing how to tame combination skin.
New York City-based dermatologist Dr. Dennis Gross gave us his top tips for brides-to-be with a combination complexion. Follow his targeted plan for gorgeous skin on your wedding day and beyond!
Your Daily Regimen
Treating an oily T zone and dry cheeks calls for a stash of pore-clearing cleanser, toner, and oil-free moisturizer, says Gross. He recommends picking products laced with an alphabet of acids — alpha, beta, and salicylic — since they help regulate oil production and unify a combination complexion.

Your Beauty Diet
To prevent redness, a hallmark of combination skin, Gross suggests cutting back on spicy foods and red wine and loading up on veggies. Fill your cart with citrus fruits, which have a purifying effect on clogged skin, while coconut oil hydrates from the inside. Use it for sautés and stir-fries or to sweeten a latte.
Your Power Product
Rather than coating your face with one product, spot-treat different areas with individual "boosters." "A bride with combination skin should tailor her routine," says Gross. Try a serum with salicylic acid to help oily patches and an alpha and beta hydroxy acid for dry areas.
