From preppy color palettes of green and blue to nautical accents like knots, seashells, and stripes, it's simple to create a seaside-inspired wedding. The hard part? Creating an elegant beach-inspired celebration that doesn't go (ahem) overboard.
It's easy to get swept away by fun details, but it's important to keep your thematic accents to a minimum. To help get you inspired, we dreamed up the quintessential light and fresh seaside-inspired wedding. For the reception, stick to nautical touches like cool knot table-numbers, blue stationery, a cake with rope piping, and a coastal-inspired hydrangea-and-garden-rose centerpiece. As for the dress, go super classic in a statement-making a taffeta ball gown like the the one pictured above from Austin Scarlett.
Also, remember to choose a destination near the ocean. That way you can let the breezy atmosphere speak for itself.
